Making my first Disney shirts

Okay, we are going in the middle of September to WDW. It's going to be pretty hot so I wanted to put my DISigns on a tank top. I was going to use a ribbed tank but I'm afraid that if I do the image will 'split'. Does anyone have suggestions on what type of tank/transfers to use on a project like this?

Bumping cause I would also like to know how a transfer would turn out on a ribbed tank top.

I don't have any experience Andie but I agree that a ribbed fabric would probably be a bad idea. I did see transfers "for stretchy fabric" at Wal-Mart last week...might that help? You could at least read the instructions on the packet and see if it says "DON'T USE RIBBED" or something like that... ;-) Good luck getting a better-informed answer.

I used a transfer on a ribbed tank and it did crack.
My suggestion is to purchase some from jiffy shirts. They have tons of choices and they are pretty inexpensive.

Thanks guys, is there a certain type of transfer or iron-on that is better than the others? I have used some before (I think they were Avery?) and after I washed the shirt once the design began to peel and crack. I don't want that to happen again.

I made this ribbed tank almost 2 yrs ago. I think that the dark transfers were Avery brand that I picked up at Walmart, and the tank was from Walmart.
I remember making sure that my iron was really hot, and going over it for quite awhile. But this tank has been through the washer and dryer MULTIPLE times and has just now gotten a small crack.
