WOW! That's a lot of reservations if you intend to make all of them. My family has really toned down the number of scheduled meals we do because we found that whatever we are doing, no matter how much fun we're having, we will suddenly have to stop to make a res time.
That being said, 2 and 4 year olds should definitely go to Chef Mickey's. Cape May is OK too if it is for characters. You should consider my 3.5 year old son's favorite, Donald's Safari Breakfast.

Is it really going to be your first time to WDW? I see you have so many posts already that I wanted to double-check that. Either way, congratulations! In a perfect world everyone would get to go at least once every year...

Wow, your plans look so fun! Personally, I wouldn't take young boys to Marrakesh or Chefs de France. Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge has great food and a really fun, interactive environment for kids. Either way, you'll have so much fun :)

I would consider adding a character meal or two. Breakfast with Donald is great (wonderful papaya juice for breakfast) and so is Crystal Palace (Pooh and friends) in the MK. These are all buffets with great selections. I won't go to WDW without eating at either. I love O'Hana and it is a must for since our first time eating there. We do try to eat at different restaurants each time too. We've had great meals at Boma and Les Chefs de France. We also have Le Cellier as a must do. These are not as kid-oriented as they don't have characters, but they do have children's menus. I like planning my whole trip so I know I have great meals to look forward to. No matter what you do, you'll have a great time. You'll be at the Happiest Place on Earth! Good luck and have a great vacation.

Cape may for dinner is great- but there are no characters. The breakfast is much better for kids!!! One of our fav's. We do a reservation every day too- it does alter the day, but it is also a way to get away from the craziness. Boma- check the menu- it's a little different- if you don't mind. My DH likes it- the rest of us- not so much. The kids love chef mickey, and hollywood &vine.

I agree about Whispering Canyon. It can be very fun for the kids. Make sure to ask for the ketchup ;)! They also have the kids all get up and ride pony heads on a stick around the restaurant about every hour. They love that. Last time we went, however, it was far too busy and the service, and the fun, was lacking a bit. I guess try to avoid very busy times if you can.

Ha ha, I just got back from my first trip last week - look how many posts I have, lol.

As for the OP - I might be concerned about the # of dinners you have planned vs. breakfasts. For us, by dinner time, DH & I were exhausted, and DD (3.5) was on the verge of meltdown-status. We were back at the hotel for dinner every night except one (in which we did MK in the morning until noon, then back to the hotel for R&R and then back to MK around 5:00 for 6:00 dinner at CRT).

I liked having breakfast ADRs best b/c I booked them for 8 a.m. on non-EMH days and then we were already well into the middle/back of the park when we were done (always right around 9, when they were opening the park to the public), kwim?

I'm also not crazy about lunch ressies either b/c you never know where you'll be in the park - middle of a line or a show, and then you have to drop what you're doing and hoof it over to the restaurant.

Anyways, those were just my thoughts.

Oh, we did 1 sit down meal a day so I don't think you have too many ADRs

Not a fan of Hollywood & Vine.
Food was cold and not very good...both times I have tried it.

Your kids may like the characters...othwerwise I would skip.

Definitely the worst meal I have had at WDW.

my kids(7&3) love hollywood&vine for breakfast, but, not lunch or dinner. Also, we just returned from a trip and ate at ragland road for dinnerand it was nasty, our kids had to wait for thier mac n cheese while we ate. When they finally did my 7 yr old said it was gross and my other son didnt touch it either. It did taste off. Might wanna rethink that one.

Thank you all for your great responses! Yes, this is our very first Disney vacation! Let's just say that I love the Dis! :lmao: It is also a lot of reservations because we're going for 10 days. We will have 1 TS meal per day. We do plan on taking a nap/break every day so that is why there are so many dinners planned. I do have a few things to consider before Friday. Thank you again! :goodvibes

We like Chef Mickey's for breakfast - it's one of our "must-do's"! However, the dinner buffet doesn't seem to get great reviews. Is this your "1st night" dinner? If so, I might keep it because eating w/ the characters would be a great way to start your trip. However, if it's not your arrival dinner, you might consider switching it to breakfast.

Raglan Road - I'm trying to decide between this one & either RF Cafe or T-Rex for our upcoming trip myself. I think my kids would like RF or T-Rex better, but Raglan Road is on the DP!

Hollywood & Vine - we had dinner here in 2005, & didn't like it. However, we haven't eaten lunch there since it became a character meal. When our youngest DS is older, I see us having breakfast here!

Restaurant Marrakesh - never eaten here, but it's on my list of places to try!

Cape May - we're trying dinner here for our first time in September! I hope it's as good as many of the reviews!

Le Cellier - LOVE!

Chefs de France - another one that's on my list to try!

Boma - yum!!! Be sure to check out the AKL while you're there!

'Ohana - we really like 'Ohana. I'm a bit worried about some recent reviews, but it's always been a fun family dinner for us.

We also like Whispering Canyon Cafe at the WL, Crystal Palace, Garden Grill, & Coral Reef. Instead of 3 World Showcase restaurants, you might think of switching one of those to either Garden Grill or Coral Reef. My kids love the character interaction at Garden Grill & love the aquarium at Coral Reef.
