I'm making my ADR's next week for our first Disney trip with our 2 boys. My parents and brother are also coming, so there will be 7 of us. We have all our choices ready for breakfast and dinners (and backups). We're staying offsite, so I have to do 180 every single morning. I 'practiced' a few of the more difficult choices such as BOG and Cali Grill and I don't have a lot of luck getting tables for 7. Can anyone share their success stories of Off-Site booking and also, does anyone have any tips for me? Are the times in October limited because they'll release more availability?
Thanks everyone! You're all so much help!

We stay onsite, so I can't help you with that. I would not count on Be Our Guest - have a backup ready. I booked our October trip last week at 180+10 and the only BOG I could snag was on our Departure day at 5:00. My husband spoke to a CM a few weeks ago and was told that October - which is always crowded - is going to be extra busy this year.

Plus, the MK restaurants aren't offering ADRs past 6 on party nights yet. I expect that to change, but right now...

No! My ADRs open up tonight, looks like BOG will be out for me...

Keep your expectations very low for a BOG reservation. Staying off-site has it's disadvantages and BOG reservations is one of them. Even on-siters have trouble (note AshleeH was 180 +10 and could only get her departure day).

My advice is to choose a different MK restaurant, maybe Crystal Palace. Then, wait until the day or two before and try and snag a last minute BOG cancellation. Since it's a 24 hour cancellation policy, many people cancel 25 hours before.

The good news is that you will probably get everything else you want at 180 days out.
