Making Memories to Remember, We are going back in March AND September Update 9/16

Raising kiddos and keeping a house running takes up a majority of my time too so I totally understand your absence.

Yay for being officially booked! Even though you know you are going back, it feels great to know it's booked. And, another yay for Leanne finding you a great deal on your airfare!

Thanks for being here Lisa, see u have a new report. Need to come check it out!!

Congrats on getting your room and airfare booked!!! :woohoo:

I'm trying to work out a trip in October and looked at that SW sale, but the only $80 flights available were at really, really unappealing times :sad2:

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: you are back! And silly, of course, I am reading along. I have to see what my angel girls are up to so we can talk in September and I'm not totally "behind the times" with them. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

So happy for the air fare (and we got good news...fingers crossed...on the air conditioning).

Can't wait for more pictures.

Great find on the airfare! hopefully the layover will not be bad (at least you are going forward on your layover--half the layover's we encounter back track us to Houston or Dallas)....

last year was the first time we did not do a Walmart run; the kid's missed it about half way through the week...but, then they found cheap pizza's :rotfl2:

looking forward to the planning fun!

I'm still here!!!!

Congrats on the flights!!!!!!

Watch out with that rental car..most say that after you rent once, that's the way you always go after that..or at least that is how it was with my parents haha. Last week, went to the Walmart you mentioned :) There's a Super Target about 2 miles past Walmart (go straight past the walmart on 535, make a left on 192 and it's directly on the left,) which I loved shopping at too when I lived there!

Sounds like things are coming together!!!

Tell the girls that I am ready for swimming...got a new bathing suit last night.

Almost a month later-back again :) At least I am consistent, right?? Here are a few more pics from our March trip.

We were meeting our buddies at MK, we got there and the girls got in line to get pics with Daisy.

We then went on a few rides and then I got a text they were in the park!! It was so great to see them again and meet Cindy. We went and had lunch and did rides etc in the aft. For dinner we had an ADR at CP. Cay was going to be brave this year and hug Tigger. Nope, she sat on Leanne and whimpered. Avery did get another cupcake.

Later that night we were able to meet up with Christie (bouncycat). It was great to finally meet her and her great family. This was my peeps first time on Splash Mtn. Leanne had a great time teasing me about when the drops were.

Great update, Mary. I love the photos of all the kids with the characters. Tell Cayley I expect her to get in a picture this year with me and Tigger!

I cannot believe the girls nor you have ever been on Splash Mountain. We'll have to be sure to do it once or twice when we are together.

Tell C that she has a deal as long as she sits with me on Splash Mountain!

In my las post I mentioned that the next day was Avery's bday. Can you believe that I have not one pic from that day :sad2: Maybe Ms Leanne does. Anyway, we woke early and Av put on her Birthday Girl shirt. We tried to make rope drop at Epcot so she could get a pic with the Fab 5. Did not happen. We did make it on Soarin and Living with the Land. Our friends then arrived. We rode a few more things then headed over to the Beach Club for lunch at Beaches and Cream. That was not to be. It was over an hour wait and then they could not gaurentee that we could sit together. That was a bummer. So we got counter service from Hurricane Hannah's which everyone enjoyed and the girls got to check out SAB a little. We finished lunch and headed back to Epcot. We went back to SSR with the tunes blaring. Leanne does like her some bass :):scared1::) Cindy was then kind enough to take the girls swimming so Leanne and i could take a secret trip to WalMart for some birthday things. It was my forst time going off property during a Disney trip. Kinda wierd. We found a cute cake ,plates etc. We went back to SSR and had a little cake party by the pool. Av was very happy. After we changed and headed to Epcot for her birthday dinner at Teppan Edo-her choice which i thought was a little wierd since she does not eat meat except for nuggets. We waited a vvveerrryyy looooong time and our ressie was for 8p I think. Dinner was alright-the chef was not so crazy and funny as usual. It was very late when we finished so headed back to SSR for bed. Av said it was a fun day and thats all that matters :)

Sorry you didn't get any pics of Av's birthday day, but glad she had a nice little party at the pool. That's too bad that you had such a long wait for dinner.

fun update! looks like you guys did great for your first ride on SpMt...fun picture!
sounds like Avery had a wonderfully magical time for her bday...what can be better then celebrating at WDW?!? right....

On Monday April 4th we headed to AK. This was a day that Avery still talks about. We got to the park early and headed over to Rafiki's Planet Watch. the girls love this whole area. When we got into the area where you can view the vet's at work, there was a large crowd. Turns out a LION was on his way in with an absess on his paw. This was all Avery needed to hear and she found a seat up front ansd we waited and waited. I let Leanne know what was up. Turns out they were delayed cause they stopped the train while the lion was being transported. The LION finally arrived

Leanne came and her girls watched for a bit. Cindy took Cayley and Josie to the petting zoo. Avery sat there absolutely rivated for over 2 hours. She has plans to etiher be a vet or marine biologist so she was in her element.

After, we headed for lunch and met up with L's brother James and his daughter. We took our first spin on Dinosaur

We also went on the Safari

We toured a bit more and then headed to AKV Jambo for dinner at Boma. This was our first time here and we all enjoyed it. Our server was great. The girls had a good time trying all the yummy things. After the girls changed into swimsuits and checked out the pool. They swam for quite awhile and then Leanne was kind enough to drive us back to SSR for bed. It was a fun day.

Thanks for reading along. It was a fun day!!

Great update, Mary. Sounds like a perfect day at the AK. And how neat that Avery was so into watching the lion being taken care of!

That is one big kitty on that exam table! I'm amazed that Avery sat there and watched for that long, obviously she really loves that sort of thing. Maybe she'll grow up to be a vet at the AK :thumbsup2

Awesome lion pictures. We've seen a tiger, a kangaroo, and assorted smaller animals. They say the only animals not brought into that facility are the elephants, giraffes, hippos, and rhinos. The CM from this last trip said the most exciting thing she had seen was a sixteen foot gator.

At four (almost five) that is what Brooklynn talks about, too. Let's see if either of them end up working over there in the College Program one of these days. :)

MEOW :) You should see her at the Seas. Same thing. We have to plan to be there awhile. A vet at AK would be awesome.
