I have a bright orange card stock 9x16 and can't think of anything witty to put so that both my boys get picked! the only thing I can come up with is :

I traveled 1400 miles WITH MY BROTHER:scared1: to fight darth vader.

but it think it is too long and not witty enough, I need some suggestions quick we leave at 4am on monday

TIA

My son was one of the first kids picked when we did this. His sign said: JEDI RULE... SITH DROOL!

My boys each had a sign; one read "Don't underestimate my force" for the little one and "The force is strong in this one" for my oldest son. Just having a sign is what set them apart so have fun with it!:yay:

I like your sign....if it's too long you could just put "I traveled 1400 miles to fight Darth Vader" -- that's cute too. :goodvibes

Check the Disneyland "what you can bring" section of their web site. There are restrictions to the size of signs that can be brought in. People have posted in the past about having issues at security with signs that are too large.

people have had thier signs taken away??:mad:. how do I avoid this??? I was going to fold them a bid a just put them in our back pack. :scared1::scared1:

What about: My brother and I traveled the galaxy to fight the dark side.

We had also heard that people had signs taken away when going through security - so we took a poster board - folded it in thirds that would fit in the bottom of our duffel bag with our jackets, etc. They never even saw it.

Our sign had a picture of Yoda that my DGD (17) drew - she's the artist in the family - and then she lettered it with "fight the darkside I must" It was truly cute and he was the first one picked from our side (we were on Space Mountain/Buzz side).

We did it without a sign on Thursday (slow day though) and my ds was picked. I don't think anyone had a sign that day. But, I think it helped that ds had Mickey on his shirt. I think that's been the highlight of the trip for him!

ok signs made and packed - not so original but bright!! I put that they travelled with thier brother hoping that they would pick both kids with the identical orange signs.! fingers crossed !! I showed the boys how to jump and wave thier signs as well!!
thanks for all the advice!

I guess I will just fold them and put them in the backpack and hope they don't take them away!

There is a HUGE thread about upping the odds of getting chosen somewhere in here. Maybe someone can find it and bump it up for you?

If either of your kids have a star wars themed t-shirt, have them wear it that day. I think most importantly, they just need to be really animated and excited about the possibility of getting chosen - jumping up and down, etc.

Have fun!

When my DS and DD were chosen (they did not have signs)...we saw 5-6 kids with very cute signs NOT get picked each show time (we were there for two shows as DD, non star wars fan, got picked first show so my DH stayed with DS for a second show time and he got picked finally). Make sure they jump and yell with their signs - I know you have shown them already - which is awesome. Good luck! It is really fun.

My boys wear Star Wars shirts the day we try to get picked. Last time we tried my younger son was picked. My older son has yet to be picked because he just isn't as excited as the other kids. He loves SW, so I am not sure what his deal is :goodvibes

My kids have been picked several times, no signs, and I actually don't remember seeing any kids holding signs. They've gotten picked together holding hands up high while jumping up & down & screaming.

I have a feeling that there will come a time that too many kids will be holding signs for that to set them apart. Hopefully that will be AFTER we visit in March!

I had DS (age 5) color in a picture of Yoda and I put the words "Pick Me, You Should." I thought it was a little cheeky, but he got picked!!

Our sign was pretty small, too.

ETA: I used a Star Wars font.
