Making Hard Rock Cafe Lunch Reservations Online

I am almost ready to make a lunch reservation at Hard Rock Cafe at Universal Studios for our upcoming October trip. On the web site it mentions that you can make these on line and receive a reservation number.

Has anyone had any experience of doing it this way. Thought it would eliminate some of the hassle and the cost of ringing across the pond.

It's just like priority seating but you can do it on line!

Please note the following :-

We booked a PX online at the Hard Rock for 14th September 2003, we had arranged to meet friends who were also holidaying in Florida so that we could celebrate my 21st Birthday.

A few hours before the PX time they sent us an email at home in the UK advising that they had a private party so they would have to cancel. Luckily my parents picked up the email and managed after two hours to get hold of us in the US.

I am very very disappointed with the Hard Rock my father emailed them to complain but they did not even bothered to reply.

Be warned a PX is not guarentee.

What a shame you had a bad experience - at least they tried to let you know in advance (though I realise that's not much help). I guess its the same as Disney's priority seating in that it's not guaranteed.

Not replying to your complaint though is just plain rude - I thought they'd be better than that.

We made lunch reservations on line for our trip in August, as it turned out we didn't need it , the place was very quite, but they did have the px ,so if it had been busy it would have helped .The food and service was great as always unlike Planet Hollywood which was c***.

Joanna thank you for posting your experience - thank goodness your parents did pick up the e-mail particularly as you were celebrating a special birthday.
