Making DVC Reservation

We just bought our first DVC contract. Question...our use year is June at which time our first points will be loaded. Can we make a reservation for next December 2013 at the 11 month mark even though we wouldn't have the points in January but will we have the points by the time we travel?? Or do we have to wait until June to make a reservation?? First time poster and since we do not have our member number yet Disney would not answer my question since they can only help active members (at least that what they just told me on the phone). So any help is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

You can make the reservation at 11 months out because the points are already available in the UY your trip is planned for. Your UY has nothing to do with when you can make reservations.

Yes, you can make the home resortreservation for December 2013 when your 11 month window opens.

Use year only dictates which points you will use to pay for the vacation. December 2013 falls within your June 2013 use year. So to pay for that vacation, you can use points you banked from 2012 (if you had them), the points you get for 2013 and you could also borrow against the points coming in June 2014.
