Making Dining Reservations for People Arriving Later?

This is probably a dumb question because I'm almost positive the answer is yes but I'm asking anyway! My husband and I are arriving in WDW about 5 days before our friends for our trip in February. Am I able to make dining reservations for us all with my 180+10 days window? In other words, can I make a dining reservation for more people than are listed on my hotel reservation?

Yes you can, but you do need to make them your friends on MDE so you have people to put on the reservation.

We've had no problems doing that in the past. As mentioned, they need to on your MDE to add them to reservations. after that, it's no different than making any other reservation.

You can do that but it isn't necessary. I don't bother. I just make the reservation for the number I want and don't worry about assigning specific people to the reservation.

Good to know. Since it always asks me to assign specific people, I just assumed you had to do that. I know those specific people don't have to then show up with you, but didn't know you could skip the assigning altogether. Thanks!

You only have to assign people for the prepaid reservations - like CRT and dessert parties.

I think you need to assign people for BOG breakfast and lunch pre-order.
