Making blankets for GAD?

Has anyone made blankets for the Give A Day/Get A Day promotion? Are they easy to make? Do they require sewing experience? Can children help?

I'm trying to decide between that and the Haiti care kits.

Yes, we have made them before and made them again for GAD/GAD. They need to be cut by an adult or older child to be neat but the ties can be done by young kids no problem. The problem I see is you getting in. The GAD/GAD promotion is wrapping up and no new people are being allowed to sign up. I think you should just go and try to sign up for anything and see if yo ucan. Not sure you still will be able to. Sorry to bring you the bad news, but try, maybe you can still get in. Good Luck!

Well that lasted a total of two months! Wow, I guess it was a successful promotion, then!

You aren't kidding! Still try, it hasn't completly closed down from what I undertand, but it's really close. There are a few threads here on DIS to read about it. But if you act fast you may be able to still get in, I am not sure. Good Luck to you.
