Just checking... we are traveling in late September / early October (Saturday to Saturday). Anyone know of any flight specials or details. Every dollar helps since there is 5 of us!

Traveling from the Boston or Manchester, NH area.

Really thinking of Southwest because they have direct flights and FREE baggage. What other airlines provides free baggage. Like I said with 5 of us it will make a difference!!!

Thanks

Well I would suggest signing up to receive the $25 Airtran coupon. Then book your trip as two one way tickets and use 2 of the $25 coupons which would save you $50 per person times 5 = a savings of $250
I just priced the flight from Boston using Sept 5 - Sept 13 and if you use the $25 coupons all five of you could fly for a mear $500. Even if you have to check one or two bags that would not be bad. I would make everyone take a carry on and stuff it as full as you can. Then leave the toiletries for the checked bag and anything else that won't fit in a carry on.

Southwest is the only one with no luggage fees. The price for the same Sept dates on SW are $952!

What does AirTran charge for baggage fees? This one is LOOKING promising...

Southwest cheapest flights is $1375. I'm finding flights on AirTran for $1000 to $1100 out of Boston...

You should check each airline's website for the information you need. Plug in your dates and voila. Some sites (sidestep.com) will do a comparison of most airlines, excluding Southwest. It's so simple to do the research yourself!

That's EXACTLY what I did!

I found an AirTran flight that went from BOS to MKE to STL to MCO and back for $1000

Then I did a search of United (which I thought was going to be expensive) and found something for $900 at our PREFERED times!

SOLD!!!

When should I call Magical Express???

have to agree with Shelly in Ohio (Go Tribe!). Airtran deal is the way to go. PLus, book through kayak and don't pay for seat assignments. Booked mine today, two separate one ways, and paid $300 for the three of us to fly.

Airtran just had $44 flights out of Atlantic City. With the $25 coupon, it came to just $30 each way incl tax pp. !!!
Yes, that's a rare thing but they usually go around $59-99.

I agree with the pp to book separate one ways so each pax can use 2 coupons for RT.

AH dang it! A few days ago Southwest was having a 48 hour fare sale ... it was based on how far you were flying:

30.00 for upto 400 miles
60.00 for 401 - 749 miles
90.00 for over 750 miles

It was SUCH a bargain! It would have cost our family 180 RT from SLC! That is a tremendous savings and they have a direct flight from here.

You should sign up for the email deals.

Good luck,
Meredith
