I'm trying to make our adr's for sept but we have 3 adults and 4 children (2 are under 3) and I keep putting in party of 7 but the restaurants I want are not available for 7 ppl. They are available for 4 or 6 ppl though so am I supposed to count all of the kids in the reservation or what's the deal. I can't find any dates available in 2 weeks that will let me reserve to a few of them?

My guess is that you are picking restaurants that don't have a lot of tables meant for large groups. You could always make 2 reservations (one for a group of 3, one for a group of 4) for the same time and call the restaurant and see if they can get the tables close together. Sometimes they can, sometimes you might end up on opposite sides of the restaurant.

Yes, you are supposed to be putting 7 as everyone in your party is a person :).

The system has had some issues with odd numbers in the past though, so it may be worthwhile (unless it's a prepaid or CC held place) to try for 8 and see what comes up. Failing that, you'll just have to keep trying.

I would just call and make your reservations on the phone...it would probably be easier then trying out all the different numbers.

We will be there the first 2 weeks of September and I was able to get a party of 7 for almost all my ADRs. Our 7th person is a wildcard (don't know when or if he's coming, or for how long) so if I could only get 6 I took it on a couple of ADRs and he can find something else to do if they can't add him.

The ones I had a hard time getting a table for 7 was The Plaza, Garden Grill, and Coral Reef.

ETA: But I'd try getting a 4 and 3 around the same time and hope they can sit you all together. Just make sure to put the 2 ADRs under different names, emails, & phone #s just to be safe.

Tables for eight are not common. With seven people, even though four are children, each does require a chair and therefore the space that goes with it.

Are you trying to get your reservations for "peak dining times"? If yes, try looking within the first 20 minutes after a restaurant opens or within the last half hour before the last seating time. Thaty is the most likely times when they can combine tables.
