Hello, sorry to keep bothering you all - getting very nervous now about making my ADR's for August and eight of us

A few questions - once again sorry.

1. What telephone number do I use to book the ADR's

2. Do I have to quote a reference no - if so do I need to ring disney beforehand to get this?

3. From what time can I book the ADRs.

4. Strange question .... are we one of the first countries to be able to book because of the time difference.

5. How many of you do NOT get your ADRs you want ... again going in August and eight of us !!! I have been advised that you can book the first ten days worth of ADR's (going to change my day so can do first thing). Am worried that thereafter will have to ring up every single day and will be working so wont be able to do until probably 4pm

6. If want to "play" using the on line ADR system - how do I do that?

7. Do must of you book on line or via telephone system ?

Just in case you cannot tell I am rather stressed out about it :lmao: Think need a holiday after booking the ADRs!!

I really big thank you :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Hi eeyorefanuk

I also need to book my ADR's soon - well February 26th - we are going at the end of August.

I booked with Virgin so therefore didn't have my Disney Reservation NUmber. I emailed virgin and they emailed the number straight back. I think however you only need this if you use the online booking system which I intend to use this time.

When we went in 2007 I booked with Virgin although stayed at the Poly. I wasn't on the Dining Plan but nobody every asked for a reservation number.

I got really worried about doing it - espcially as one of the meals was for the Cinderella Breakfast which apparently sells out within minutes. We were also a party of 8 then and do you know I didn't have one problem. it certainly isn't anything to worry about - its all part of the fun. The cast members are really helpful on the phone.

Let us know how you get on.

Hiya!

Firstly, don't be nervous, everything will be fine. :)

So:

1, 001-407-WDW-DINE

2, If you are staying with Disney, you can use your room reservation number to get an extra head start on booking ADRs. If you don't have it though just book at the 180 limit and quote your home phone for the ref number (last 10 digits).

3, Last time I checked it was from 7am by phone and the online rollover time is 6am.

4, It rolls over on EST. the only bonus is that for us that's after lunch. :)

5, 8 is a bit more arkward, but assuming you phone at the 180 day mark and are a bit flexible with times (CRTs a lot easier to get into if you are willing to eat during wishes) you'll be OK.

6, Just log in and play! it puts the reservations into a basket and doesn't book them until you "checkout". So don't checkout! :)

7, I used to book via the phone but used the online this time and loved it! Assuming you're happy with the tech stuff I'd book online and phone after for anything you couldn't get as sometimes things don't show online. (I couldn't get Sanaa online but had no trouble over the phone).

Hope that helps! :D

One thing to add - if at 180 days everything you want isnt available keep trying!! Disney do keep adding slots and people cancel all the time.

We managed to get everything we wanted during free dining including difficult ones like Akershus and California Grill during Wishes, a few I played around with the times slightly and we were ok :thumbsup2

I think a table of 8 is easier than a table for 2, there are not many tables for 2 in disney restaurants.

I loved using the online system for the first time last year, it was so easy. Also I have never been asked for a reservation number either on the phone or online - after all you don't need one as offsite guests can also reserve tables.

Enjoy!
Kay

Booking ADRs this year is going to be easier than last as the window has gone back to 180days and free dining so far hasn't been announced in the US. While you will get a few people booking there won't be as many as last year the US free dining had been announced so there was a lot more competion.

Also don't fret over booking for 8 - I had a group of 7 last year and as long as you are a bit flexible with times you should get everything.

If you are looking to look LeCellier or Coral Reef try to plan those towards the end of your +10 - they were the hardest I had to switch times and days on both as neither have very many large tables. Or try and book 2 fours.

Coral Reef is the hardest for large parties becuase of the layout of the restaurant they cannot just push 2 tables together.

You can book online from 11am UK time or 12 noon by phone. You need your 12 digit US reference to unlock the plus 10 but it will only show from your 180 days from check in date. Also online it will then add one day at time to the end of the plus (well it did don't know if they have fixed that yet!)

Is that why my US reference won't call up my reservation (hotel) on the US website? Just wondering if that also only shows at 180 days (+10 if applicable)

If you go to make a ADR and click on the associate with my reservation bit it should bring up your hotel stay now but won't unlock any extra days yet.

if you booked direct with disney uk then you can call the uk number to make adrs direct with disney uk

We booked ours online last year

Thank you for all your help.

How do I get to the dummy on line reservation please - has anyone got a link?

I think I am just so nervous, it has taken us ages to sort out what we are doing on what days, so can then sort out the restaurants ......... so in a state of panic that the restaurants we have chosen will not be available :lmao: I am sure for alot of you guys it is easy peasy! but for me it has been a total headache, I suppose because never done this before, and trying to keep everyone happy with the restaurants.

So am I right in thinking that since we check in on the 1st August, we can book reservations up until the 10th August, thereafter have to ring daily?

Also when they say ten day, if for example we book a character breakfast and then table service dinner will they allow that if it is within the ten day period?

Once again THANK YOU

This will take you to the US site - then under 'Plan' you will see 'dining reservations'

Go play.

You can book any number of reservations within the 10 day limit.

TBH with a large group it is easier to work the parks around the dining reservations than the other way. It is easy if you say we are eating here at x time then people can go their own way if they want. Also you might find somethings might not go as planned due to weather etc

I have done loads of holidays with me & DH (plus 1 with DD) but last September we were a group of 7. I got the restuarant choices and put them into some sort of order around park closing times (as we did almost all dinners only 1 brekkie) and so we could see each firework/evening show and that was it. It was just too difficult to know how everyone was going to be feeling etc we just played the rest by ear. I also choose more resort restuarants especially on nights were the was no fixed plan as it gave us more flexibility.

I notice the link you gave me is the US site, we booked through UK site, does that make a difference if just "playing".

If you could have seen us trying to sort out our days !! We have decided on "walk (disney park) one day , walk (disney park, IOA etc) second day, swim (water park to rest our feet) third day, then start all over again.

We will be doing mainly evening reservations - though going to do some character breakfasts, as decided to eat off site a few times while there just for a change.

Hi don't be afraid - even I can do it!!

You need the US site for all you ressies - even if you booked through UK it is the US site which handles dining.

You should definately be able to link up your reservation now and then the 180+10 will open up at the start of the booking window.

Give it a go and make sure it works before the big day - imagine if you lost a day waiting for the correct number or something!!! :scared1:

Mine is coming soon too - I have it marked up on the calendar - I am excited about avoiding those endless phone calls.

Let us know how you do!

I'm a little confused with the linking up of the bookings for ADR's. I just tried to link mine up but it's not accepting my 6 digit ref or my 8 digit ref. I checked on the uk site to see if there was any other number but my details are all correct...

Any suggestions or is it just a case of waiting until the day?

if you booked direct with disney uk then you can call the uk number to make adrs direct with disney uk

We booked ours online last year

Did you use the 8 digit uk res number or did you have to get the 12 digit us ref number?

Thanks again ............ since you book via the us site for dining, does that mean we can do the "grand gatherings" .... do you know anything about this?

As far as I understand it, bookings of more than 8 have to be done over the phone and can't be done online. I presume you have a group of more than 8 in which case you will need to phone. I have seen it suggested that you could try "splitting" your group thereby making more than one ressie per restaurant per group - but that kind of defeats the purpose of booking your party together and sounds like double the work and the headache of trying to co-ordinate the whole thing .... Double check, but I think you would need to phone.

Oh is it 180 days again now?? It was 90 when we went last year. We booked yesterday for 11 July - I take it I can be making reservations now then??

Woo hoo!

mo x
