Making ADRs for 8 but 6 show up?

We are a family of 6 and will be making our ADRs on 6/15.

My parents are unable to commit at this time (I tried to tell them that they could get their 200 deposit back if they book and cannot go) (but I also told them free dining would sell out which it did)...

Anywho, I digress.

So can I make all of my dining reservations for 8 and then when we arrive to each one say that the two ended up not coming? This seems unfair to others to take up the two seats but I can't think of any other way to do this.

As long as part of your group shows up you won't be charged a no show fee.
