Curious to know...

I've been reading a couple threads and am curious to know when online booking and calling begins 90 days out. Do they both commence at 6am? Doesn't that mean that booking online is a better idea (you can do the booking online and be done at the same time that someone calling is still on hold and waiting for a CM to speak to).

We're fortunate to be staying concierge level at our next stay so I can route all my ressies to the IPO staff, but I'd love to know this for the future.

If the site works properly, yes.

What do you mean by problems with a AAA reservation? Also does CRT have to be booked on the phone only? THanks.

Then wouldn't it make sense to make reservations online?

I did both. I called in at 7am and while I was on hold I was looking at times online. They didn't have the time I wanted for CRT but when the lady came on the line she did have it so I dropped the other time out of my online basket. Then I tried to get an early ADR for CP and she didn't have anything that day but online had 8:10am so I took that one.

I would definitely check both if you don't find what you want at one.

CRT can be booked online. Some guests are having problems having the system recognize their AAA reservations. Some have gotten it to work though.

And I think it is best to book online at 6am. Then if anything, call at 7am if you need anything else or need ADRs for things that you can't do online. i booked online at 6am on Sunday and got all 17 ADRs I needed within 37 mins. I then had to call Disney Dining to book GF Tea and was on hold for 47 mins. I also logged on this morning to change around one of my ADRs at 6am and it went pretty well.

There are a few kinks that the online system has. Sunday I didnt experience any problems but this morning when I clicked to submit my ADRs, I just got a blank screen. I knew from reading the online ADR thread that even if you get a blank screen, it usually means the ADRs were confirmed. After a little tinkering, I found out that the ADR was actually made. But I can see how it would cause some people to panic and rebook that ADR, which would them cause them to be double booked.

Ok..Thanks. Your explanation helps...I am going to try the online at 6am and then call at 7am if I need additional help. It is my daughters 4th birthday, first trip to Disney...So I want to reserve the CRT to make it special since Cinderella is her favorite.

Also, the online system is having issues wth recognizing DVC reservation numbers, at least it won't recognize mine!!

:confused3:confused3For some reason the ADR online system won't open up the 90 + 10 feature unless you booked directly through Disney. For example, we booked through AAA to save some $$ and unless the system changes, we will have to book online one day at a time or book via telephone to book ADRs for the whole trip at once when our 90-day window opens in Aug.

I had the same problem using my DVC reservation number this morning. So I called and using the same ressie and phone number, it popped right up for the wonderful CM on the phone and I was able to make my ADR's using the 90 +10 days.

I get to make my ressies soon and I think this time I am going to try the online booking instead, the earlier I can get it done the better!

I go with on line cause Online starts at 6:00 am ET.

Calling Disney Dinning doesn't start till 7:00 am ET.
