Making ADR Thread - hold times, IT vents, and general whine!

OK, here are my reservations for June 11-17

June 11, The Wave at the Contemporary, 7:25 pm
June 12, Coral Reef, 11:30 am and Rose & Crown, 7:35 pm
June 13, 50s Prime Time Cafe 11:30 am and Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge, 5:55 pm -- 25th Wedding Anniversary dinner with just me and DH
June 14, DDs 8th Birthday! 11:45 pm Cinderella's Royal Table (booked previously), and Hoop Dee Doo Revue, 5:00 pm
June 15, 11:35 Liberty Tree Tavern, and 6:10 pm Narcossees
June 16, 11:30 am Yak & Yeti, and 3:40 pm (?!) Mama Melrose Fantasmic package (yea for getting package, boo for it being such an early dinner)
June 17, MY birthday! 10:55 am Chef Mickey (booked previously), 6:05 California Grill

Not sure yet what we're doing on the 18th; that's when we're leaving, and no park picked out, so it will probably be counter service. I'm happy with what I got, and will try at 45 days to change some times around a little if I can, but am I relieved that's over with!

Everything looks good - you have some of our favorites on there! But,
wow, those ressies on 6/16 are close together -- just 4 hours apart! When you get to Mama Melrose, you might want to stretch that meal out as far as you can! Order drinks & then don't order the apps until she brings the drinks...
 
I'm furious!! :mad:

I got up at 6am on a Saturday preparing for this stupid call and they can't make any of my ADRs "their system has not accepted the enhancements". It should be up and running sometime today!!!

Now I have to spend the entire day on the phone with WDW-DINE!! :sad2:

I'm really mad! I have 15 ADRs to make. We're on DxDDP. This is a HUGE inconvenience!!!:sad2:
 
I fell the same. I am on hold right now. It is taking longer for me to get through now than it did when I called at 6 so I'm hoping that means they are taking reservations now.

Although when I tried to call earlier for 6/12 they told me they couldn't book that either.

I called at 7 am Eastern Standard Time, got disconnected after two minutes, called again. Got through to CM at 7:50, and had all of my ADRs done at 7:58.
Got everything I wanted -six were within 15 minutes of time I requested and one within 40 minutes of time I requested.
 
:mad: Called yesterday for my 90 plus 10 reservations for my June Trip. Called from both home phone and cell phone at 7 am sharp. Both calls were answered by CM right away (7:02 and 7:03), but when I told them my June arrival date, both CMs said they could not help me with that date and put me hold. ON HOLD FOR OVER 45 MINUTES. Long distance calls! Finally, got a CM who could help with my June dates. TOOK FOREVER! Could actually hear the CM hitting the keyboard ever so slowly. I consider myself an ADR veteran, and have never experienced such a thing! In the end, my call (which turned out to be the one on my cell) was a total of 87 minutes in length! AND, I was UNABLE to get any reservations at all at Le Cellier. Whole experience was a nightmare. Just wait til DH gets the cell phone bill. ADR should be ashamed. Can anyone explain what is going on with the "new" or "updating" system that would justify this?
 
I just got through too. I called at 7:20 eastern time and was finally connected to the right person at 8:00 eastern. Only had one ADR to make today, so I was done within five minutes. Got the time I wanted within 10 minutes of my request for a table of 8. :goodvibes

Glad that is over, it is the last ADR I have to make that I was really worried about missing, (CP for lunch)
 
I've been watching this thread carefully because I have to use the new system next month for my July trip. I think I will call the toll free number for DVC members after hearing the wait times. The only downside is is that they don't open until 9:00AM.

Oh no! I hope everyone is able to get the ADR's they need.

We are not heading back until October so I'm really hoping that these hold times get better before I have to call for our ADR's. It just sounds so crazy!
 
I called this morning at 7 EST and got someone within about 1 minute. The only problem I had was that there were no ressies left for LeCellier for the day I wanted it (June 12). I rearranged some things and booked it (TWICE!!) later on in the trip. I got everything else I wanted. :thumbsup2
 
I am so sorry- that is rotten. I hope you get all the ADR's you want. I would ask for a supervisor if you don't to see if they can help you since it was a system issue. Good Luck!
 
I JUST got off the phone with WDW-DINE!! It's 9:41 am!! I called at 6:59 am!!

My first call, I got thru immediately and was told the system cannot book past 6/12. Well, I knew they had to fix it. So I kept calling back and getting disconnected. Someone picks up, but for dates past 6/12 only "experienced" CMs can book.

I got a wonderful CM that really tried to fight the system. At first the computer wouldn't cooperate, but she was persistant. She finally was able to book everything for me. I'm so thankful I got her!! She really knew her way around the computer!

I'm surprised with all this commotion that the night I wanted Ohanas was booked until 7:45!!!

I did get everything I wanted, and the times I wanted (except for Ohanas).

The only thing not working for them was taking off the Visa Discount for the Wilderness Segway Tour. It worked for the Epcot Segway Tour. I have to call back in a week to see if the system accepted the discount and get a credit for the difference.

I'm just relieved this is all done. I never imagined I'd be on the phone for almost 3 hours!!:scared1:

For anyone preparing to make the dreaded call soon, make sure to allow yourself plenty of time and have a pot of coffee made!:rotfl2:
 
I just called at 8:11a.m. CST. I was shocked to get right through, no wait at all. I got all my ADR's for my 8 day stay and was off the phone in about 12 minutes. It was fantastic. So, don't give up.:)

I feel your pain. My call last Saturday took 60 minutes from start to finish. Were you trying for LeCellier for supper? We usually have good luck with a ressie around 1:30-2. Would that work for you? Supper seems to book up faster. The CMs are learning the new system,and things are going faster for some who call, but for others it is still taking a very long time. The CM that I had felt that it would be much better once they were all trained.
 
does anyone know when this system "upgrade" is supposed to be complete?

I have ugly visions of what the phone lines will look like if this is still commonplace come late July or early August when people try to make reservations for special F&W Festival events. :scared1:

I'll be calling Sunday morning (at 4:00am sharp PST) for the same dates (well actually, June 13-19) as you, csmom-hope I'm as lucky as you were!;)
