Making a Room/Building Request @ POLY

I've read a lot of posts lately about making building requests and whether you actually get the requested building but I can't remember how you are supposed to make the request. I thought I read somewhere else that Disney no longer takes faxed room requests. I requested Fiji with the CM when I made my reservation...is this all that I should do?

Yep, that's all you need to do. When you make your reservation, let the CM know of your preferences. They are not guaranteed, but just requests.

In 2005, we made the requests through our TA.

We went in June '07 and I called the resort directly the day before we were to arrive.

Both times, the request was granted.

When you "call the hotel directly", you are really getting a call center somewhere. They probably just added it to your reservation.
