The deal for HNY (4 for 2) for the dates we want is pretty good.

But in an ideal world we just want 2 or 3 nights DLH.

Could I book and put down a deposit so I hold this deal and then change in future as there's still ages until our trip.

Sorry - I should know the answer. In the past I've upgraded etc but I've not changed trip duration or only put down a deposit etc.

Thanks x

Yes I'm pretty sure that as long as your upgrading your hotel and not downgrading there shouldn't be a problem - I'm sure somebody else will be a blue to say for sure x

Would also love to know the answer to this as we are looking to do the same but with a possible change of date.

Oh Kizzy change to half term!!

I am sure Elaine will have the answer here, I seem to remember Jill Robinson changing her booking to include meals and an extra night - maybe she'll see this :)

I've never done it myself, but seem to recall many people upgrading without a problem. I think the issues seem be related to downgrading hotel or trying to get a better deal if a new offer comes out, without adding anything extra to the booking.

I'm sure I've read that you can upgrade up to 60 days before arrival.

Ah Lisa, not for October but May and I'm far too frazzled from lack of nicotine to deal with HT crowds :/
Anyone that does has my total respect. March 2011 taught me that!

Was going to book just book for 5 days in May and change dates when we know the date of DDs communion. Thats presuming I can do it by phone thru the UK offer though I'm in Ireland. I confuse myself.

Elaine here :wave2: but the wrong one :rotfl2: - the other Elaine is more experience at staying onsite than me!

It does seem to be hit and miss, we upgraded our booking under a different offer and so did others at the same time as us but I've also read on here that others haven't been able to as sometimes an offer is for new bookings only. I've also read on here that some people have cancelled and rebooked and found even with their loss of deposit that they've saved money. I'd paid in full but I remember others had paid deposit only and it didn't seem to make any difference but I haven't got a clue about changing length of trip though, hopefully if your start day is the same it wouldn't make any difference.

I think if you'd be happy to stay at the New York on this offer if you couldn't change it then go ahead and book, if you wouldn't then wait for an offer for the DLH, there's bound to be one sooner or later. :)

Thanks Elaine. And everyone. :)

I think you're right. There will be more offers.

Talking to my mum yesterday and she really wants to stay DLH so I think we'll wait a while before booking. I know it'll be easier staying there with Aibee too so fingers crossed there's a 40% or something at some point.
