I Stila powder foundation. It is great alone or over liquid foundation for more coverage. I used to use Lancome Dual Finish, but I like Stila better. As a bonus, it costs less because you only have to buy the compact once and then you can buy refills. It is available at Sephora.
Now the rest of their line, I hate - HOWEVER Merle Norman makes the *best* best best best best best pressed powder.
My girlfriend began working there when we were in High School and we got turned onto it. SHE was impressed with it, and pushed it on everyone, and only was working there to have a "mall job" over the summer. But the powder? She found a gem.
It's the Luxiva Ultra Powder Foundation. It's kinda pricey - however, it truly lasts forever!!! And it covers! Good lord it covers. I love it in the summer (or at WDW) cuz I look -done- and all I have is powder on!!! And when you get a blemish - the stuff just clings right to it. Stays on amazing. It's amazing.
Lately Ive been ordering it off eBay. Saving a few bucks...
But me, and 2 of my g/f's have been using it literally, since High School. If they ever stopped making it, there'd be a heckuva lotta women going postal on Merle Norman!
Hmmm.. With all these makeup posts on the DIS I have a feeling I'm going to end up at Sephora this weekend!
For pressed powder... anything MAC! I believe I have the Studio Finish. They have a few different kinds with varying degrees of coverage, so which ever one suits you best.
I personally prefer loose powder, because I think it gives a more natural finish. I loooooove Prescriptives Magic, I have it in transulcent as well as a bronzer so I kind of layer them both in the summer. I also like Clinique Gentle Glow, which is light and has a bit of shimmer.
