I've just switched and started wearing waterproof mascara. I usually remove my makeup with a cold cream type product, however, this doesn't seem to remove all the mascara. I even bought some makeup wipes, but thats not working either. What is the best product to use for this? Help!

IT seems like every makeup company is different. What will work on waterproof Maybelline won't work on waterproof Estee Lauder, etc. Call the company's 800# and ask them. I've bought some brands that wouldn't come off with a chisel! Those had to go!

Sorry, no help here. Just wanted to sympathize. I never found anything that removed it completely and I went back to wearing regular mascara.

I've used baby oil before. That seemed to work great. I don't know how good it is for your eyes if it gets in there.

You need an oil, to break up the mascara - Baby Oil is cheap and works...but be careful not to get it in your eyeballs - OWIE! :scared:

Quite frankly - when I use waterproof (which is only when I know Im going to be getting wet) It really -doesnt- ever ALL come off. :confused3

May I reccomend MAC's Pro Lash - although not waterproof, it does stay on alllll day, without getting the smudgy's under your eyes. And - for being a professional product, it's only $10. :Pinkbounc

My eye doctor yelled at me for using baby oil. Apparently it had gotten in my eye, and if that happens your eye can't get enough oxygen since it's 'clogged'. She said if it gets bad enough that the blood veins (vessels?) can grow over your iris and you can reduce your vision significantly! I actually did notice a reduction in my vision (i.e. things were blurrier than they should have been). I couldn't even see the giant E at the top of the chart. My vision is bad, but it's not that bad!

Anyway, I now use the Almay eye makeup remover in the pink bottle. It has some oil in it, but it's not as bad as the baby oil. I also like the Clinique remover in the purple bottle, but it's more $$$.

I use baby shampoo. It was a tip I read when my oldest was a baby. I tried it and it worked, no more expensive make-up remover for me. Now that they are older I use just a tear free shampoo but it takes it off. Oh I use Almay waterproof mascara. Good luck

In the haunt we use Baby Wipes to remove ALL our make up. It works wonders on Mascara and it's gentle on the skin too. Just remmeber no pulling on your delicate eye skin!

This is what I do also..baby wipes! :sunny:

I can ONLY wear waterproof mascara. ANYthing that isn't runs all over the place for me! It is ridiculous. So, I know from experience what works for me!

Another thing that works well for me is a remover cream from Clinique. Theygave me a BUNCH of samples for free over a year ago and I still have a few left... :goodvibes

But, Usually the baby wipes because it takes all of my makeup off safely ;)

Really like the Neutragena (sp?) eye make remover. Has a bit of oil, but works really well and doesn't burn or sting the eye

I only wear waterproof and I am very careful about rubbing and stretching the skin around my eyes. I wash with a Cetaphil bar and it does a pretty good job. Any stuff that is left gets covered with night eye cream and comes off in the morning wash. I rarely wake up with make up rings under my eyes, so I think the eye cream just softens it up. I stopped using remover because I was getting styes. No problems now though.
