I have a bathroom in need of some renovation, and I am noodling with the idea of going whole-hog and making the entire bathroom look like a DCL stateroom bathroom.

The subway tiles are easy enough to figure out, and I'd use a standard elongated toilet. But the weirdo bath faucet, the mirrors, lights, shelving, towel holders, etc. I am not sure where to begin tracking that stuff down.

Is there a resource out there that might have this info already researched?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I can take some detailed pictures on my October cruise unless Princess Shmoo has some already :)

Remember to build the room one step higher than the rest of the house, so everyone stubs their toes in the middle of the night.

My father did that when he built our house. You had to step up to get into the bathroom. Drove us crazy but we adapted. Hindsight, we rarely had overnight guests so maybe he had a reason for his crazy design. :rolleyes1

My suggestion would be some hotel supply business.

Here's some pictures:

Thank you all!

I wish I could make an exact replica, but compromises must be made. No angled vanity. No angled wall-mounted toilet, no 3' long bathtub. And, no, absolutely no lip on the threshold.

So, no split bath then, either?

I found this faucet picture:

Let's pretend I am replicating a Cat 11 bathroom. ;). Thanks for the link.

Round tub then?

I think not. I'll stick with my existing tub's traditional size and shape, but try and find that faucet.

And before anyone asks: no, I won't do the ceiling outlet, but I will do the clothes line. Still trying to think of where to store all the usual home bathroom clutter (cleaning supplies, non-travel-size soap/shampoo/toiletries, etc) out of sight. It still will be a guest bath, after all.

I believe the tub/shower faucet is a Hansgrohe EcoStat. They're pretty common in European hotels that I've been in ... they drive me a little nuts!

The plumbing is different for these than the standard American shower diverter. In the US, the hot/cold mixer is usually in the wall.

The water tap on the sink is most likely from Hans Grohe as well. To me it looks like a standard European water tap.

Have you thought about redoing your own bath as a concierge bath?

Ehhh, I will be honest - that's beautiful and all, but it doesn't call to me like the non-Concierge baths. Maybe it's because I've never stayed in Concierge.

Thank you as well! After looking through all the Hansgrohe faucets at Supply.com, I think you are right.

TBH, the vessel sinks are kind of annoying. We opted not to put them in our bathrooms when we redid them two years ago. When we stayed in the suite, that choice was reaffirmed.

That tub was amazing though.

Actually, now that I'm thinking about it... My shower space in my little apartment bathroom would just about match the space needed for the round tub... Gotta chat with my landlord about that...it's small, but it would be a tub - which is more than just the shower I have now!
