Make your own Window Cling Sheets

I'll be interested in this answer, also. I bought clings at Target that are meant for a child's room to decorate the outside of my trailer. While they are cute when I first put them on and easy to move around, they fade quickly. So, yesterday I bought Avery 8 1/2 x 11 clear labels to make a sign for the trailer while at Fort Wilderness Campground. They were easy to print on but I can't yet address how well they stand up to the weather and how easy they will be to move/remove. Judy

I reverse print them and then I spray the printed side with Rustoleum Vinyl paint to make them show up better.

Why do you reverse print? Does it have to do with putting them on the outside of a window verses the inside? Thanks for the link. Judy

I reverse print because I spray vinyl paint on the same side as the print - to protect it AND make it show up better. The side you will stick to the inside of the window will technically be the backside

Unfortunately, fading has nothing to do with the print medium. Anything printed on an inkjet printer will fade quickly because the inks used are not UV resistant. Color laser prints are a bit better but will still fade. Best for printing where UV resistance is crucial are the Canon wide format inks or the Riso soy based inks.

How do I know this? I am the Customer Support Coordinator for one of the Midwest's Premier Copier/Printer dealerships. Yes, I am a very lucky girl - I have free access to any and all printers my little heart could desire.

Sure-Right here on the DISigns board! You can use the designs from these very talented DISigners for t shirts, scrapbooks, window clings, magnets, etc. The sky's the limit. They will customize their designs for you. If you want non Disney designs you can do a google search for free clip art.
