Make your own Mickey ears

My booking window for the Make your own Mickey ears at Aulani is approaching, and I see they offer both traditional ears or the LED ears for $10 more. Does anyone know the difference between the headbands for each option? Are they like the traditional ears headband vs the LED ones at Disneyland? The LED ears would be cool, but the LED ears headbands at Disneyland are a bit different and more painful to wear. Thanks!

I'm not sure of the difference between the headbands, but the good news is that you don't pay when you book, so you'll have the opportunity to scope out the style you prefer before committing.
