Hi, I've just started looking at this board. Some great stuff here.

Question for all of you creative individuals. I would like to make my own Disney tattoos for my 2 DSs (personalized maybe). The only paper I've tried so far was TERRIBLE. It was made by "invent it" and was like you stuck a big piece of scotch tape on your arm.

Is there any good tattoo paper out there?

I've had some people tell me to try dollar stores or party stores, but they're very limited and mostly have "girly" tattoos. I also really like the idea of personalizing them.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

While I have not tried it myself, I have seen the tatoo paper in the computer stationery/office supply section of walmart. It's by one of the big names, so I would hope it is better than scotch tape lol I'll check on the manufacturer when I go to the store today.

This may not be much help, but when we were in Key West I got a temporary Mickey henna tattoo. They traced the Mickey design on my ankle with some sort of carbon paper I think. Then carefully painted the henna along the lines. I had to be very careful for an hour or so, but then I had a Mickey tattoo that lasted a couple of weeks.

Okay, I must have been hallucinating because I couldn't find the tatoo paper at Wal_mart, and I thought it was an Avery product but then couldn't find it on their site...sigh...but I know I've seen it somewhere?!?! Maybe a google search?

I did a Google search on this & found this - which may be even better than paper...who knows?

"Paper Mate™ sells “tattoo stick” pens, with ink that is safe for skin and washes off easily. These are available at Target stores, many office and art supply stores, or by mail from Art Supplies Online......"

"Several companies sell special paper to create temporary tattoos on the computer. Try Avery’s Body Art Stickers, available at most office supply stores or online....."

It also mentions one of the Klutz books: The Body Crayon Book as another alternative.

If you want to read about it, check this site.

Just a note on the Henna. It doesn't work on everybody. We were doing something like that and we used Henna. I managed to keep my Henna untouched for about 48 hours before the extra goo was washed off. I followed all the instructions to a T and managed to have a tattoo for almost 20 minutes. My skin doesn't let me do anything fun!
