Make up for HS reunion ???

I'd like to get my make up done for my 20th HS reunion next weekend... I was thinking of calling M.A.C. & making an appointment... does anyone know how much $$ I should expect to pay.. any other suggestions?

DD had hers done for prom last year and I think it was around $60, but can't remember exactly. Lots of times, spas offer it as one of their services so it might be worth a phone call--especially if you're already doing a manicure, pedicure, etc.

Also, sometimes stores like Lord & Taylor, Filene's etc. let you make an appt. at one of their makeup counters and do it for free! DD has done this before but also bought makeup there as well. Have fun!

Don't know about the makeup, but have a great time at the reunion. We just had our 40th last night and it was terrific! It was funny, though, how old everyone else looked.

I go to MAC for special events fairly frequently - actually, I hired two MAC makeup artists for my bridesmaids, MOH, etc at my wedding.

The guideline they're given by their management is that clients who get makeup should be expected to purchase about 4 of the items that are used. So you can make an appointment, pick four items that were used (pretty common combination is foundation, eyeshadow, lip liner, lipstick). That'll total anywhere between $50 and $100, depending on what you pick.

When you think about it, it's a tremendously good deal. You pay $50-100 but you get the makeup, a lesson on how to apply it, and the satisfaction of knowing that you look spectacular at your reunion.

Yep... thanks for the info! Last time I did a Lancome event (artists from NYC had come to Macys) They had a similar rule, I had to buy at least 3 items.. by the time I was done, I'd spent WAY TOO much!
