I have recently been buying lots of make up kits at close out stores or on clearance & DIllards & what not....so needless to say I have A HUGE collection of different types of brushes....

Some look like little white fans....

Some are big and fluffy....

Some are small and puffy...

Some are big and straight...

But can anyone give me a website that has pictures of the different kinds opf brushed and what they are used for.....please :)

Wheelsie- go to Sephora.com, go to the "tools" section, and click on "make-up" brushes. This should give you a pretty good idea of what types you have:D

well they do have an FAQ..its for shipping tho :)

I'm just kidding...

I am appreciating all the help though :)

well I have a couple of brushes that I've bought w/ make up sets recently that I dang-well dont know what to with :) and what the blazes is eye concealer and why does it come in 6 different colors :)

A lot of people don't use all the brushes. It just depends on what you apply and how you apply it.

Concealer is for the dark circles under your eyes, if you have them. Or other places on your face if you are really good at applying it. :)
6 colors of concealer are only for 6 different people with different skintones.

One shade would suit you best, unless you tan, and then you would need a second one.

For the record. The color should be really close to your skin color, but a tiny bit lighter. If your skin isn't white, don't use it, like some people do, it just gives you racoon eyes, unless you are very good at applying it.

Let's see. I have a powder brush, the big fluffy one.

2 blush brushes (smaller, fluffy). I have one for more natural blush colors and one for stronger colors. When I wear black or a dark color, I need stronger colors of makeup.

I have several different brushes some the same sizes of eyeshadow brushes.
I have a big one for the base color.
I have a medium one just because.
I have a small one for the crease of my eye and the outside corner.
I have a wedge and an eyeliner (skinny) brush for eyeliner. I rarely use a pencil and I never use the liquid liners. I use my eyeshadow as liner, it looks better on me.

I have a lip brush too, for lipstick or glosses.

I should do my brows, but I have never gotten that so it looks right, so I leave them alone. lol

well this eye concealer comes in colors like yellow.....blue pink...so I don't know if we are talking about the asme kind of concealer

yellow, blue and pink?

Throw them out. :D

I know they sell them, I know i've sold them, but there is no way that the majority of us can look natural with that stuff on.

The yellow is supposed to tone down redness, the pink is supposed to cover up yellowy skin and the blue, I don't even remember, but you don't worry about them.

LOL, telling people what they shouldn't buy and what was just lotion with a gimmick and in no way worth $50, is why I'm not selling it anymore.
You don't make much money that way.

may I ask who you sold? I sold Avon for a while but a had a bit of a depression bout and never went back to it

Okay, I had to open this thread because I need all the help I can get when it comes to makeup. :p

I think, but I'm not sure, that the fan shaped brush is to brush excess powder off your face. :) I could be totally wrong though. :p

I also wanted to say that I saw your clipart, it was a man with a saxaphone, then I say it morph into a question. Now I can't stop see a woman. It took me a long time to find her, but now I can't stop seeing her. :p

Okay, sorry, back to make up. :o

If you have one of the large fan brushes I think that is used to sweep blush on your cheek. If you have a thicker and shorter brush, that is usually used for bronzing powders. I have to agree with Serena about the colored concealers- it is really hard to make them look natural.

Well, I sold Avon a long time ago. I sold Mary Kay up to about a year ago.

I have never figured out what that fan brush was for. lol Maybe to whisk away pesky flies while you put on your makeup??

LOL Serena...I was thinking that too

Safron should I change my clippie? :) I dont want you to go cross eyed :)

I was wondering if the fan brush was also for brushing away excess as its thin and spread out
