I just saw this book on Good Morning America. Does anyone have it and is it worth it to buy? Looking for additional ways to save money.

I saw it on GMA also.

It sounds interesting but not necessarily practical. The price of food varies greatly from region to region. The price she used for bread was over $4 a loaf-that is way more than I spend here.

I think she was comparing bread to bread - like a fancy loaf of seven grain bread to the same home made -- not a loaf of plain sandwich bread.

The bread I buy from Breadsmith is $4.25 a loaf. :)

I make my own bread and buy my butter :goodvibes

I can buy bread waaaaay cheaper than I can make it, even if you don't include the time I put into it; however, my homemade bread tastes better than store-bought stuff.

I can make butter for roughly the same price as I can buy it, and the time involved is so slight that it doesn't matter.
