Make sure that you let your server know that you are on the DDP. They have seperate items for guests that are 'off menu' or would cost extra to the person not on the plan.

This plan is well worth the $$$, especially if you have kids.

It's just my wife and I however, I wouldn't be going without it.

What exactly are "off menu" items and what would you pay extra if your not on the DDP. We are buying the DDP and it's our first time, so any info I can get will be very helpful. Thanks

The exclusions are listed in the FAQ, the link to which can be found at the top of the list of threads for this forum.

We never had to tell our server we were on the Dining Plan. In every TS restaurant our server asked as as soon as we sat down if we were on any dining plan.

perhaps you have referring to the surcharge for children not on the plan when they order certain items?

the only thing I can think of are the light up ice cubes and the drinks they come in aren't included.

an "off menu item" is an entree that is not listed as a special or a menu item:

example:

Capn' restaraunt in DTD let the server know that we were on the plan,,,asked my wife and i if we liked lobster, asked if we liked steak,,,told us not to even bother looking at the menu for an entree, just look for an appetizer.....

looking at the entree selection i saw the steak/lobster combo,,,,,

when the entree came there were 2 lobster tails, shrimp, and steak...it wasn't on the menu per se as an entree they were an add on item.....
