If forced between the two I'd have to go with Akershus.

But I would go with 1900 Park Fare over both of them.

Have you been to each before?... if not I'd do CRT. It is a magical experience for kids, something special about eating inside the castle. Akershus is wonderful as well.

I agree with PP, do CRT if you haven't done that before. It's a fun experience. Other than that, my first choice would be Akershus.

Priorities? We have done both and enjoyed them. There are subtle differences in the two that might make a difference.

The princesses will vary slightly especially since Enchanted Tales with Belle opened.
CRT of course has Cinderella for the pre-meal photo. Akershus has Belle. The photo is include with the price of the meal at each restaurant and you get the same package.
Belle is in her yellow gown at Akershus. I believed they removed her from the CRT rotation where she used to appear in her blue dress. I believe Jasmine started appearing after that, but someone will correct me if I’m wrong.
The food at Akershus at lunch and dinner could be a lot less familiar than at CRT. If we do Akershus now, it is for breakfast.
At CRT, girls get a wishing star and wand to keep. Boys get a wishing star and sword to keep.
At Akershus, there is a princess parade where the children and the princesses walk around in a procession around the restaurant. It’s very cute.
I know the castle is a big deal. And it is amazing, especially during the "wishing ceremony". Akershus does though look like a castle on the inside.
And the biggie: CRT is 2 dining credits and Akershus is 1

CRT- there is just something special about eating in the castle. We do both each trip, and by far we prefer CRT both for food and atmosphere. To us, the tables at Akershus seem very close together and cramped, and it is hard to get a good angle for the princess pictures. Also, if you have to sit in the section right in front of the buffet, where we have been the last 2 times we have eaten there, you can expect to be constantly bumped by people going back and forth to the buffet. It actually got to be kind of a joke with us because it was my chair that kept getting knocked into by everyone and DH and DD thought it was hilarious.

Now, if Belle is your absolute favorite Princess, it might be worth doing Akershus instead because that is the only way you can meet her and get her autograph in her ballgown, outside of ETWB. Also, as we discovered on our last trip, if it is imperative that you get a photo with Belle in that dress, then Akershus is the one for you, because Photopass lost our whole session of ETWB photos, so we have none. I have heard of at least 2 other disers who have had the same thing happen on different dates and times than the date and time they lost ours.

We have done CRT 3 times and Akershus 1 time. We definitely prefer CRT over Akershus. It's really special eating in the castle and I feel like the character interaction is better. We like the "wishing ceremony". The food is not amazing but it's good. We did not like the food at Akershus at all.

I had cold (as in frozen in the middle) meatballs, DH had flavor-less chicken and my girls wouldn't even touch their hot dogs after the 1st bite (and my girls LOVE hot dogs).

Akershus is definitely one that we probably won't try again.
