i purchased a nintendo wii out of my catologue for my sister only to be told that i had to wait 28 days and they wouldnt guarette delivery before christmas. (****)

in mean time sister managed to get one of 50 delivered to our local game store at merry hill.

guess what turned up today? The Wii

shocked to see that they are going for well over £200 on ebay. my son is making offers of no pocket money for a year, using his £90 savings and ringing nan's and grandads for offers towards his (charity give me wii)
i have brought son a PSP for christmas plus games.so i cant let him have it for christmas!!!!!

send it back or sell it on ebay and make profit.? it is sitting here on my bed saying open me please.:confused3

i would be the best mom every. what for 5 mins!!!

Open it for yourself (you know you want to lol) it's a great family console and many a fun times we have with ours :cool1:

I would keep it or sell to someone who really wants one i.e friend at cost.

I really dont like Ebay the way people make money on items that some people are desperate to get hold of. Also some people barely can afford the cost of the machine, then have to go on Ebay.

Not that I am telling people off or telling people they are wrong who do it. I know plenty who do. Its just what I would do. I always feel bad if I charged more than what I paid. :confused3

keep it, I got 1 for dh's birthday 2 weeks ago and we haven't had a wii free night yet!! we are both hooked especially to My sims!

Alex

P.s i'm not really a games type of girl but i love this:thumbsup2

Kirsty u can give it to me for free is your desperate to get rid of it! haha

I'd keep it - we have a Wii, an Xbox 360 and a PS3 and the Wii gets by far the most use!

Well I watched stock over a week (wii-consoles.co.uk) and it seemed that places like Game, Dixons, Amazon were getting stock for about 10mins several times on certain days. As I was looking for one for us, two for cousins, and one for my bosses sister, I ordered at every opportunity - certain orders (Dixons) went right thru the credit card and confirmation process, then the next day an email came saying no stock! However, some did go thru and I ended up with 6!! Have listed 2 on ebay over the last week, I paid £180 for them so listed at £190 starting price ( ebay fees around £10) plus £20 postage (royal mail next day special delivery is £19.45).

The first one went for £215 and the second for £240. Think bosses sister might have got one from somewhere else, so may have another to go on!!

Can't wait for xmas as kids know they're in short supply and I'll get to say 'well actually at one point I had 6 in the garage!'

:lmao:

Personally i would keep it as they are a fantastic family console and i thing we would be lost without ours now.

They are becoming very hard to come by at the mo as they are meant to be the sell out christmas prezzie this year, have seen loads of ppl buying them then sticking em straight on ebay.

My sis is still trying to get her hands on 1
