Make a Wish (off topic)

Just thought I would post about a phone call i received from our local Make a Wish org.

I got a call today from Make a wish telling me that they have a program every year over the holidays, (I think it is call gift of light or something like that) and they choose a number of kids that they have granted wishes to the previous year to have a christmas tree at the Mall of America. they ask for a photo of the child and a drawing from the child. They also asked that since we were local in the twin cities if one of the radio station could call (they have a list of like 10 names) and interview Jessica for an on air interview about her wish trip.

If anyone is local it is cities 97.

a little side note, when we were at GKTW there was an NBC crew filming in the castle at the village while the kids saw Barney- they took down contact information- I hope they will call and let us know if/when it will be on the air and I can let everyone know

many radio stations these days stream live on the web, so be sure to post if she'll be interviewed. we may all be able to hear her!

That's pretty cool. I wonder if they have been doing the Mall of America tree for a long time or just the last few years? I never heard of it before. I'll be looking for it when we go to MOA around Christmas.
