Yes it is, but it let up once befor, than hit even worse the second time around. Hopefully it is done now. (Crosses fingers)

I just got my DSL back after 2 weeks of having to use dial-up becuase I stayed online during a thunderstorm. My DSL modem took a spike thru the line & it was toasted!!! Computer fine luckily.

It was soooooo much work trying to get them to fix it. Phone calls after phone calls saying when are you going to get me another modem. A week for them to determine it wasn't the line & it must be the modem.

From now on...... I turn off computer & disconnect from the wall.

I'm in the same general area as you and actually, I didn't think it was all that bad. We had a couple of power surges but that is very normal when it rains. The thunder always sound very loud b/c of our elevation. I was actually thankful the storm came through b/c it cooled things off a bit and gave us some much needed rain.
