Major Fluffage: The Brady Bunch or The Partridge Family

When I was a kid, I loved Friday nights because both shows came on back to back I don't know if I can pick from the two,, but if I had to, I guess I would have to say The Partridge Family.

I had a slumber party when I was 11, and made everyone at it, pretend to be a member of the 'group' with me, while my mom put their album on, (which was a birthday gift), I got to use the tamborine ,,hey, it was my birthday afterall,,,LOL. I have pics of that somewhere,, it was hysterical,,lol.

I remember people hated how long David Cassidy's hair was, because so many boys started copying the long shag look,,lol. Even now, I think long hair on a guy is soooooooooo sexy.

Did you hear that David Cassidy and Danny Bonaduce are doing a 'Search for the Partridge Family' type show? Apparently they are doing cross country auditions 'aka' pop idol, to create the 'family' and plan to recreate the show. Will be interesting.

I loved them both. Asking me to choose between the two is impossible. I had the hots for Keith Partridge and I so wanted to be Marcia Brady. My mom never wanted me to watch those shows. She thought they would eventually damage my brain.

So using the matrix:

Greg vs Keith (have to go with Keith on this one )
Marcia vs Laurie (scratching and kicking marcia would win)
Peter vs Danny (Danny overall he's known to beat up men )
Cindy vs Tracy (Lisp over triangle player anyday)
Bobby vs Chris (since there was 2 Chris the double team would beat Bobby, even though he has surivor skills)

Now this would allow Jann to be a substitute(or could do tag team with Bobby against two Chris'

Rueben vs Miketough one Rueben is shifty but Mike is smart, well not really he is an architect, but he has 6 kids and only 2 bedrooms with a shared bath I would have to go wiith Rueben

Mom vs Mom nuff said


So place your bets...maybe Fox wil have this a future show

I watched and loved both as a kid, but I enjoy the Bunch more in reruns. Believe it or not, I still have all my old Brady Bunch and Partridge Family records.

If you are a BB fan and have not read Barry Williams's "Growing Up Brady," do yourselve a favor and get a copy. Very funny.

I liked both, but I think The Partridge Family were better........maybe it was the music that got me hooked, who knows, but I just liked them a bit more than the Brady Bunch. Better actors too I think, not so obvious.

Definitely the Partridge Family! One of the things I'll always remember about my dad was how he went from store to store (in the days before we had shopping malls in our area) looking for the 45 of "I Think I Love You" for me. Poor dad, all that effort, and then he had to listen to that song over and over again!

Tough decision! I guess I would have to vote for Brady Bunch for Best Show (stinker.............you know we don't like you to use that word!) but definitely liked David Cassidy better than the Brady Boys.

Partridge Family is o.k., but like another poster said, the Brady Bunch Rules!!

And I do have a copy of "Growing Up Brady"!
