Has anyone cruised on Royal Caribbean's Majesty of the Seas? Our only cruise was a 7 night to Bermuda on our wedding anniversary (1998) & we loved it. We booked a 4 night on Majesty to the Bahamas for December. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this cruise. I'm sure it won't be as relaxing as a 7 night, but hope it won't feel too rushed. I'm also hoping it will be nice & warm in December. Any info would be great. :)

I just had to post because I was so excited to see this post!!!!!! I went on the Majesty of the Seas in June of it's first year (inaugural cruise was in April of that year) and had SO much fun. Absolutely loved it. It was a cruise to the caribbean though so I can't say anything for the Bahamas. Of course that was also when I was 10 with my parents and I'm now 23 so the ship has been around for a while.

I also found it nicer than the cruise that I went on a year ago on Carnival. The Majesty of the Seas was much nicer and less dated (even looking at pictures of it from 13 years ago! ).

We were on the Majesty in January of 2005. We had a really nice time. It is an older ship and you can tell that buy the general size and lay out of the ship. Everything was very clean and we had very good dining room staff. RCI private island was very nice as well. We tendered as earlier as possible and walked to the other side of the private island which was quite natural and beautiful in a rugged sort of way. One thing to keep in mind is that the staterooms are VERY small. Large luggage pieces Don't plan to spend much time in your room unless you have booked a suite. Embarkation in Miami was very smooth and quick--it was a pleasant surprise. Debarkation was not as smooth or quick but was not unbearable. Overall we had a very nice time and would go again.

I did the 3-night in December 2004. It was great! Yeah it's an older ship, but if you eat, drink and are merry you won't notice. :thumbsup2 We were there the first weekend of December and it was cold on deck at night. It was about 82-83 during the day and the ocean was a bit chilly. If it was any colder we probably wouldn't have been able to swim. But, we still had a great time on Coco Cay and at Nassau.

One thing though, since the 4-night cruise goes from Monday-Friday and you have to take a whole week off from work anyway, most people recommend just doing a 7-night.

Thanks for the reviews everyone. I'm going to be hoping for some warm, warm weather!

Luckily I am a weekend nurse so I won't miss anytime from work. DH works 12 hour shift work & will only be missing 2 days form work that week so the dates we perfect for us. Some of my co-workers will be going too since we got such a good deal (239.00 inside cabin, 299.00 for outside).

One more question, CoCo Cay, is it pronouced Kay or Key? (this comes from a discussion I had with some co-workers.

Also, those that did the 4 night, what night was formal night? What excurisions did you do? Did you go see the Queens Staircase? Should we take a tour or go ourselves, it looks like it might be in walking distance. Did you pre-pay tips? Buy a soda card? Anything else I'm forgetting? :thumbsup2

We were on the Majesty of the Sea Aug 2003 for a 4 night cruise. It was our first cruise and we have been hooked ever since. We had four of us in one room(inside stateroom), and it was very cramped. BUT, we didnt spend much time in the room. It was so fun and relaxing being on a cruise, that I thought 4 nights was was too short.
This August we are doing a 7 night cruise on Carnival. I can not wait :Pinkbounc

We took a taxi over to Paradise Island to Atlantis and bought the wristband to tour the aquariums and play a bit in the casino
