1. If I have multiple contracts under the same membership, can I pay one contract monthly and do lump sum for the other?

2. If I am paying my MF monthly, can I pay them off early if I have extra money? Or will the draft happen no matter what?

3. Can I use gift cards for the MF?

Yes

[skipped question 2 since I have no experience]

3. Can I use gift cards for the MF?
Yes. I've used the following methods to pay dues online: credit card, Disney gift card, and Disney Rewards redemption card. You can make multiple partial payments with different payment methods.

Yes to all! Just be sure if you add a new contract that you set up the monthly auto debit on it

Just curious but can maintenance fees go as high as $500 a year?

On average are most people paying $200 to $300 a year on yearly maintenance fees

It depends on how many points you own. I own 160 points each at AKV and VGC. My recent annual MF were approximately $1,200 for AKV and $1,011 for VGC.

Maintenance fees are charged per point. For example, Riviera's MF are $8.31 per point. So a 100 point contract would have MF of $831 per calendar year.

Thanks. Didn't know how they did that. I just thought they took all the owners and divided what they needed and everyone paid pretty close to the same

Yes, each resort has its own annual dues amount charged per point. For 2020, the lowest annual dues at WDW is the Grand Floridan's ($6.56/point) and the highest is Riviera's ($8.31/point). Viro Beach, a non WDW DVC resort's dues are $10.13/point.

As noted, it's per point so they take the costs divided by the number of points (simplistically). As for each resort being different, remember that legally and practically, you buy a resort and the option to exchange internally is added to that. I realize that many think they're buying the system but they really are not technically.

To add, when you own different resorts, each bill is done based on that. So, I own SSR, BLT, and RIV. I pay the per point for each of those contracts based on the specific resort.

Of course, owning 775 now, my bill is between $4 and $5k a year.

We have been paying dues with Disney gift cards for years. I used to get close to a 20% discount on gift cards, but that gravy train ended. I usually get between 5% (minimum, buying through Target) and 10% (go to the gift card thread here for more info on how to save on gift cards: https://www.disboards.com/threads/updated-disney-gift-card-deals-and-more.3784942/ ). You can combine gift cards into one for a total of $1000. I combine mine into 2-3 and then simply enter the GC numbers online to pay.

FWIW, I also use gift cards for park passes and I pay my bill at the end of the stay with gift cards.

My 50 point OKW costs me $386 per year. My 275 OKW and BRV cost me $2121 per year. I have two memberships (Dec UY and Sept UY). They will both go up next year. They go up every year. I'm paying about $210 per month.

Even for very inexpensive timeshares, you are going to pay a lot more than $200 to $300 a year in fees.

Wow. Much higher than I ever dreamed of. Do you know how much they go up every year?

holy disney. How many weeks can you stay on 775 points? Let's keep it simple a 1 bedroom at kindani or similar.
