The reason is called Disney IT. I don't know if it is outsourced, extremely understaffed, or just not too talented. Maybe all three. I have not been impressed for some time now. A company the size of Disney or even DVD/DVC needs to do better on the technology front. At least we did get the online booking, albeit several years later than promised, and I would guess that the only reason we got that was because they outsourced the design and build of that project to another IT company. If Disney was doing it themselves, we would still be waiting 5 years from now.
Note that sometimes I will go on-line and get a message that says the site is down for maintenance. Each time that has occurred in the last few months, I switched browsers (from IE to Goggle Chrome or vice versa) and then the site came up. In other words, it was not down for maintenance despite the message given.
A different issue is that the site does often seem to actually to be down for maintenance and updating between 2 and 5 in the morning eastern time.
You can try clearing browsing history and cookies, some ti me that creates problem, I know in my iPad, this is always a issue after couple uses, PC does fine for months.
I work nights so generally I am on between 2:00 - 5:00 a.m. That may be why I get the maintenance error so often. I do switch between Chrome and IE and get the same message so I know the site is actually down. Thanks for the responses though!
