MainStMandy's Not So Solo Pre-Trip Report



My exciting trip begins back in June. I started a fantastic new job with great pay and great hours...and not so great benefits. One of the benefits lacking was vacation time. It seems that I didn't get any vacation time until December 1...and I had to use it by December 31st. So I thought for about 30 seconds if I wanted to actually go away for my 5 days or just stay at home. Well since I work a Mon-Fri job (most of the time) I figured I could actually squeeze a 9 day vacation out of my 5 vacation days.



So I was talking to my favorite diser and travel agent about my trip (hi Alicnwondrln )

and she thought it would be a good idea for her to come along too. We booked the Yacht Club and were starting to make plans when...she found out her husband couldn't any time off to watch their two boys so it looked like this would be a solo trip after all.



So I was all booked at POP Century when a code came out...so now I am all booked at All Star Sports with the ddp. I didn't make any plans except for a birthday dinner (which has since fell through). I was just going to relax, use my 9 day PH to wander the world and enjoy a week off.


Then along came Tom.



Tom and I met online back in September and have been together ever since. He is wonderful, sweet and caring. And then along came the day where he asked if I would mind if he came down for a few days...Was he kidding?? Of COURSE I wouldn't mind, in fact I thought it was a great idea.



So he bought some PH, airline tickets and the planning began.



Itinerary:


Sat 12/08- I arrive around dinner time. Plan on heading to the MK after check in for some dinner and fireworks



Sun 12/09- Sleeping in and head to WS for breakfast and wandering. DTD that night for dinner and a movie.



Mon 12/10- My birthday! Going to Animal Kingdom in the morning, then lunch at Sci-Fi with a couple disers



Tue 12/11- Free day. Maybe the beach or just laying by the pool with a good book



Wed 12/12- MK open with Glendamax and Tom arrives at 7:30. Dinner at Wolfgang Pucks at 8:30



Thur 12/13- EPCOT



Fri 12/14- Animal Kingdom open then back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. Osbourne lights then head to Jiko



Sat 12/15- Late day, MK from 1 till ? Trying to do a walkup for 'Ohana right at 5



Sun 12/16- MGM then head to the airport.


So that's it. I am going to do my best not to scare him away with my crazy planning...I will say my binder is done though, lol.

Thank you for meeting me at Mk and especially at AK. I may be brave, but I dont think I could do EE and Dinosaur alone!
