Just wondered if anyone could tell me a good hotel at main gate that shuttles run all the time. REally wanting to stay on site but trying to keep the cost down. Just 2 adults for 2 night the second week of December. Any suggesetions.

Welcome to The Dis! Just wanted to say that you shouldn't get caught up, in my opinion, in "main gate", "east gate", etc., unless you need to be in that certain area. I would suggest checking out the rates at hotels in the Lake Buena Vista area. That's right at Downtown Disney and usually you can get an awesome rate for suites with breakfast included! There are also 7 actual Downtown Disney hotels that sit on Disney property. Just a suggestion! Wherever you end up, have a magical trip! :cool1:

As far as I know, nothing outside of the Disney resorts has anything close to "continuous" shuttles, with the possible exception of the DTD hotels---and those aren't quite "continuous", and they are all likely to be more expensive as a Value resort.

If you won't have your own car or a rental, I think you'll find a Disney Value resort is your best combination of price and convenience.

Thanks for your help. That is kind of what I was thinking to. We will have a car but taking a shuttle would be so much more convenient than driving and parking and walking. I have read that the Disney Downtown ones wasn't really that reliable either. Has anyone stayed at any of them?

I couldn't disagree more. Off-site shuttles run on their own schedule, usually have multiple stops, and don't drop you off in a location closer than you can drive to.

Orlando is, in my experience, easy to navigate, and WDW is particularly well-marked. There are trams that carry you from your parking spot to the gates (or, in the case of MK, the TTC), and back again, so you don't have to walk (and in most cases, you wouldn't want to.)

Thank you.
