Maine Lobster

Can anyone recommend the best place online to get Maine Lobster? For some of the ones I have looked at, the prices are not terrible (for the canned/packaged lobster meat, at least , which is what I am searching for) but they seem to get you on the overnight shipping!

I want to ensure I order from a reputable company.

Mainer here! McLaughlin Seafood has great service and products....check them out at mclaughlinseafood.com
They are a family owned business that is THE place to go for anyone in our area...We go right into the shop whenever we pick up lobsters, so I've never ordered from them online, but I am sure their service would be wonderful

The bad news is the overnight shipping on any perishable food item is always going to be a killer because perishable food requires special handling.

I just had something overnighted to KS from ALaska. I want to say it was around $50. That was for about 25 pounds of stuff.

Small world - my husband's family owns Maine Shellfish (and Ipswich Shellfish, for those in MA!) - and they supply Pectic's lobster! Pectic is AWESOME!!! (And those baked goods.....yuuuuuummmmm!)

Forgot to answer your question, OP! Ipswich Shellfish is my husband's family's business in MA - Chrissi (my husband's grandmother - who doesn't look a DAY over 50 - seriously, it's worth going to the website just to see how incredible she is!!) owns the market there. They ship all sorts of beautiful food - including lobster!
