Main street vehicles and ECV?

I now use an ECV, and was wondering if I can still ride the main street vehicles. I'm thinking that the only way I could use them is to leave my ECV (I can walk a little with a cane and do a few stairs), take a vehicle one way, then, since rides are only one way, I'd have to get off and get another vehicle back to where I started to pick up my ECV again. Or has anyone who uses an ECV had any luck with being allowed to ride the vehicle round-trip so they didn't have to stand and wait again?

I have seen people politely explain the situation to the driver and ask if they could make an exception and do a round trip. I haven't ever seen a driver refuse to do so.

Thanks-I'll at least ask if that's possible.

If you go before June, could you let me know as well? I want to do the same in June and I want to make sure this works at Disney World as well, sorry I should have said that was specifically at Disneyland that I have seen before.

My trip isn't until September, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to post on your experience.

We did two round trips in February, pre 9am opening. I think as long as the crowd at the castle isn't enough to fill up the vehicle, we were on the double decker, they are happy to take you back.
