Main Street Opening

When the Magic Kingdom opens at 9:00, do the turnstiles open at 9:00 or are you permitted through turnstiles onto Main Street earlier. I remember a long time ago they used to open Main Street an hour ahead but not sure if that's still the same.

Enter at 8:00a and wait in the Hub for the Welcome Show followed by rope drop at 9a.

For a 9am regular park opening, they start letting people into the MK in the 7:45-8am range. You are free to walk Main Street up to the Hub. PhotoPass photographers are usually out, Starbucks is open, some shops are open, Main Street Vehicles are often running. The welcome show will be on the castle stage at 8:55pm, after which the “ropes drop” at the various Hub spokes and the park is open.

Exact opening procedures can change or evolve over time, but that is generally the pattern at MK for a 9am opening.

I assume when MK starts their EMH every morning at 7 that only onsite guests will be allowed in at all? Or can everyone get in but you have to have the right access to ride attractions?

For an 8 EMH they let everyone in they then check to make sure your an on site guest before going into the lands

There can be a sort of "modified sifting" of off-site vs on-site entrance times.

They will often hold off-site guests at TTC and not bring them over (via monorail and/or ferry) to the MK gates area until closer to "regular" opening time.
(Since virtually all off-site guests arrive at TTC.

Sure.
But, by and large, the general public knows nothing of that.
Disney knows that the simple method of “dragging their feet” on transporting the TTC guests is enough to minimize the congestion of too many non-guests at MK’s AM EMH.

The last few times I have done EMH morning the red box is where CM were checking MB and they had the other bridge closed at where I have the black line. Side note they also checked MB to get in and then once another time at the hub ( still trying to figure that one out as I walked very quickly to the hub just to have to rescan but this just happened once)
