Main Street Hallways at MK

She mentions them being added to the US parks as well (her home park is DL). Is this something that they are adding to WDW? (I did a search and didn't see anything, but I am a lousy searcher...) It sounds like it would be fabulous for parade and firework traffic, but I'm not sure of the logistics.

There is a Main Street bypass already in place behind the "right side" of the street. It's just not a covered "arcade" nor is it beautiful like DLP's.

Some of the newer parks have really fancy versions as she shows in her report on france..

WDW always used backstage to bypass mainstreet when needed. not that long ago they made the one behind starbucks a little more friendly to not seeing backstage but it's really just some landscaping and walls. It goes from next to plaza to next to tony's. It's not permanently opened though and I wish they would make it fancier or at least always have it opened. they use it a lot for parties now. for example MNSSHP they make main street the exit (you can still go in that way) but the bypass gets opened and they use that to get everyone coming in over the hub easier.

really packed days they will still open the backstage area behind emporium to go from casey's to the front easier but it needs to be really packed for that to happen anymore. I was at WDW one of those days and they actually started to tell everyone to enter at casey's and walk through emporium to get to the front faster.. That was a mess, they should have just opened the backstage route like they used to (assuming it was possible to walk that way safely).
