Main Street Electrical Parade

Any ideas where this is now and when it will return to MK.
I absolutely love that parade and miss it soooooo much.

My understanding is that it makes its rounds from park to park. I think it was supposed to have a stint at either Euro Dis or Tokyo for a while, but it would eventually come back to MK.

While we were at the resort last month we were watching one of the stations that highlights the different parks and I thought I saw it at California Adventure. That's why I was thinking that it might be eventually coming back.

The parade is currently running nightly at DCA, but it's now called "Disney's Electrical Parade" since it no longer appears on Main Street.

To me, and this is JUST my opinion, Spectromagic is exactly like the MSEP, but with different music. I bought the MSEP cd a few years ago because that's the parade I grew up with and the music is really nostalgic for me. DH and I went and watched it the last day they had it back a few years ago. When I saw Spectromagic, it seemed exactly the same, just some different music.

I wasn't terribly crazy about Spectro. But then again, I just love the MSEP music and I grew up with that parade. Maybe its just the fond memories that make my love it so much.

Saw the Electrical parade in DCA in October-Twice! love the music, loved the parade. Is either Spectro or Electrical Parade in WDW or just the one on the water (Seven Seas Lagoon?) How is that one?

Only Spectro is in MK right now. MSEP left in 2001 and hopefully will return soon.
The Seven Seas Lagoon parade is still there. I haven't seen it in ages, but as I remember it it was very similar to MSEP...even had the same music. But as I said, that was a very long time ago.

My wife and I both prefer the Electrical Parade over the Spectromagic. Spectro is something we'll watch if it happens to be convenient. MSEP we never miss when it is available.

Partly it is a connection to my visits to Disneyland in my youth.

I hope it keeps making the rounds.

I have to agree with Chairborne. There is just something about MSEP that is special.
We saw Spectro once, when it first came out. On subsequent visits, if we happen to be in the right place at the right time, we'll stay and see it. Otherwise, we don't make a point to see it.
MSEP on the other hand, we would plan our trips around!

Okay, true confession time......does anyone else cry when they hear the MSEP music????

Not necessarily cry, but I know what you mean.

I have Baroque Hoedown (SP?, BH is the MSEP music) on the Classic Volumes. I just got the new version on DisneyMania 2. I just enjoy it. My kids think I'm nuts!

MSEP has "retired" twice from WDW. One time they were selling the bulbs from the floats becasuse it was "gone for good" and then reappeared. I am sure it will come back in the future.
