Hey All
First of all we always go to disney world in the summer if you need that information. Anyway I was wondering has anybody watched the Main Street Electrical Parade and Wishes the same night from Frontierland? We usually get FP+ for both of them but I was thinking to try something different this time.

We always eat dinner at Crystal Palace that night which we plan to do, but instead of using FP+ I was thinking to go to Frontierland and watch them both around there. First of all how crowded is that spot? Can you get a good view of both of them there? The other reason we want to try that is because my kids get bored easily of parades and fireworks and since the Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain they could hop on the mountains if they get bored. Also do the BTMR and Spl M have long lines at this time? What would be your estimate waiting time for the mountains at that time?

Has anyone else tried this before?

Viewing the parade over by the end route by splash mountain does get crowded. People still show up pretty early to grab good spots over there. You can get a good view of the parade from that area, and really anywhere along the parade route. However Wishes won't be nearly as good as being in front of the castle. You can certainly watch it from over there which won't be crowded at all because the people in that area are riding splash and thunder instead of standing around watching the fireworks.

We've been over there during the fireworks and the lines all depend on how busy the park is. We've seen it range from a 5min-20min. Last time we were there (about a month ago) it was a posted 45 min wait but took 20min

Less crowded than on Main Street, but still great parade viewing can be found deep into Frontierland, past the Country Bears.
And, if you stand on the south half of the "Wooden Bridge" (marked in purple on my map below) you can see and hear Wishes
(even see Tinker Bell's flight in the distance) very well.

HOWEVER, remember from there you won't be able to see the spectacular, not-to-be-missed show that is actually projected on the front of the Castle, "Celebrate the Magic," which begins about 15 minutes before the fireworks.

We once watched the fireworks from Frontierland and it was magical. Before they started we were able to relax in the rocking chairs and during and after we were not jammed in a crowd.... until we hit Main Street for the exit of course

But can't you take the Walt Disney World Railroad from Frontierland to Main Street to exit?

Even though I know on a rational level that the Frontierland area is great for watching the parades, I just can never make myself go there to do it, lol. It just seems wrong to me, for some reason. I'm going to make myself try to do it this year for FOF parade. :-D
