I haven't been on these boards very long but we went to Disney over Spring Break and had an awesome time. Thanks to all of the tips from this board, we had a very successful trip despite the crowds. Something I never saw mentioned though was a small carnival of sorts around 5:30 on main street. There were several CM's playing games with kids like jump roping, bean bag toss, hula hoops, playing soccer, playing checkers, basketball, etc. My daughter had soooo much fun doing this. I asked one of the CM's if they did this every day and she said yes. They were handing out stickers to all of the kids too. It was a great diversion after a very busy day to let her just run off some steam. Has anyone else done this? Or do others know about it and I just completely missed in all of my planning. I read so many books and boards that I can't believe I never saw a mention of this fun, free activity!

How cool! Did this take place on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom?

Yes this took place on Main Street and also in the square (i'm sorry I don't know the exact name) right as you walk in the park by guest relations. We had a problem so we took the train to Main Street station and went to Guest Relations. While there, I saw all of these things going on outside so I took my daughter out there to play while we were sorting out the issue. I'll post some pictures when I get home since i'm working right now. But the CM said they do it every day but I haven't found anything mentioning this. I was glad we found it because the kids looked like they were having so much fun since they could just play. There was a whole CM team doing all of these activities. They were great! My daughter ran into the middle of a soccer circle (she's 2) and kicked the ball. I felt bad cause she barged in but the CM and other players told her to come back and helped her play with the big kids. Anyways, just wanted to let others know of this fun activity!

wow, this sounds like awesome fun, would love additional info if anyone has it or even pics...will definatly make this part of our plan for next week think our DD would love doing this

When we went to WDW 2 years ago, they did this. We had toured MK all day and would have just gone home, but we had reservations for dinner at Ohana so we had some time to kill. We were too tired to do much so we just kind of sat down in that area. Some CMs came out and were playing kickball and my DS joined in. He had a blast!

I don't recall seeing any other games being played.
