I was wondering if this is worth it? It wil be our 3 months plds first hair cut. Yes she does have that much hair. Also is there a long wait?
What is the best time to get there?

Thank You

we went last year and my DD was 3. It was her first hair cut (by someone else and not me). We went to MK one day and totally forgot about it. DD reminded us so we went back for 1/2 day. I think we were there around 10:00 or so. We only waited 5 minutes.

They cut her hair and played bubbles and toys with her. She got a mickey hat, which also has "first hair cut" on it, a certificate and they even gave us her hair in a little baggie, all for $12 or $13.

After the haircut, they gave her the princess hair style and added pixie dust. People thoughout MK commented on how cute her hair was. Also wanted to know how I did it. Wish I could've took the credit but I didn't. I told them the barbor shop did. They were very shocked as they thought it wasn't a real shop and only there for looks. Their next comment was "now I know to include that for our next trip".

The pictures, certificate and leftover pixie dust (which I put into the hair bag) made a wonderful scrapbook page.

I'm sure on our next trip she'll be getting another disney hair cut. I might even as well. I want a princess hair style!!!!!!!!!! (never to old)

definitally worth it I had mine done while a little baby was getting her's done it too was her firsst hair cut and they put stickers all over here and gave her all the things as the post before me said and blew bubbles and it was so cute to site and while getting mine done watch her have a good time. I went about 30 mins to 1 hour after the gates had opened and I was the first customer and the baby second. so yeah it was worth it.

We went a week ago. There was a baby ahead of us getting her first..they just did her bangs and only charged $5..I don't know if that is standard . We got there right when park opened (9 a.m) and had a little wait but nothing worse than a regular wait at home. The baby ahead of us got the ears and a certificate and even a little pixie dust for the $5 so yes I would say it is worth it...Even if they charge full price its only $13 which around here in Toledo, is what they charge for a kids cut anyways regardless of if it is just bangs or a full cut so go for it...what an awesome pic for the scrapbook!!

How "permanent" is the blue dye I've heard about. We will probably not get to MK until later afternoon - and was wanting to do this for my 4 yo grandson. We have PS for breakfast the next day at Donald's - and was wondering if it would still be OK? Or is it gel/sticky enough that it HAS to be washed out that nite?

If it's OK - I thought pix at breakfast would be cute - but if not, I don't want him semi-blue :jester:

I am waiting to have my little boys first haircut in February. He will be almost 2.
I have trimmed around his ears..but it will be his first cut!
I can't wait. It's these types of things that make such happy memories.

Do they have stylists that can give me a new style or basically just people there to trim hair and follow existing cuts. I have fairly long hair and want to get it cut shoulder length with long layers. Do you guys think they could do it? I would love to get my hair cut at WDW!

Hi, I haven't had it done myself but on our last trip we met a mom and her two boys who had the blue gel in their hair. It looked kind of stiff but she said that it had been done the day before (so no, you don't have to wash it out that night). She also had her hair done the day before but had washed it out that morning. Her hair looked fine - no stains!

HTH!

We had it done on Thursday a.m. (areound 9) and it lasted thru most of Blizzard Beach the next day ..actually if we hadn't gotten his hair wet enough to "rinse" it out at BB it probably would have lasted a nother day or two.. They do put it on pretty thick. My younger daughter still has a little "pink" tinge to hers and we have been home a week and half and she has swam and had a few hair washings in between so if you don't want a blue hair kid at dinner you may want to "scrub" it out that night..(it is very cool looking though...~!)

We got our boys's hair done last Aug. it was so cute! They still talk about it :p

My oldest had purple hair and the youngest had blue and it last until they played in the pool at CBR late that night, most of it came out in the pool and then I scrubbed the rest out in the shower. But my youngest had a blue tint for a couple of days cause he has really blonde hair!

princess:

Does anyone have any pictures they can post
of the princess hair do-s? I was telling my
step DD about this and she is dying to see
some pictures. She says "I want the princess
hair!"

TIA

I have two pictures, but they are on my disk and I don't know how to link them into here.

If you want, pm me with your email address and I will send them that way.

We never miss going! DH gets his hair cut each trip and last two trips got colored gel in his hair - he figured who knows hime down there - wouldn't you know it we ran inot his borhter & family!

Our twins got their first haircuts there (I waited to have their haircut until we went to Disney) and it was really a memorable experience! They got their haircut again this last trip and loved it - hopefully the baby will have enough hair the next time we go - if not - we will wait until her hair is long enough!

PS - I never heard of the princess style - what does it look like?

I have pictures on my (new, not nearly complete) website. My daughter was 1.5 years old and my son just turned 6. The yellow in my son's hair stayed for two additional days. (We were very careful in the bathtub...)

Pixy Dust Pages

Oh yeah, the pictures are on the family photo album page.
