Main street barber shop hairstyling?

If I want DD to get the gel/dusting, do I already have to have her hair in place for it. She has LONG hair so will they pin it up (style) it before the gel/dusting, or will I have to do it beforehand, or for a fee will they do it (I hope since I don't do a very good job on her hair). If they will style it before gel/dusting it, how much do they charge to style it.

I havn't personally been. However I have seen tons of pictures on here with girls and they have thier hair styled by them as they put the gel and pixie dust in. So I would leave it to them to do. There are some good pictures if you keep searching these past two days for Barber shop or Main Street. They do a really good job with girls hair even if it's long.

Thanks for the tip. I guess I will just make sure her hair is clean and taggle free and let them see what they can do with it. It is incredibly thick though. I will take a few pony tail holders with me in case they can use them. I can't imagine her being able to walk around all day with bobby pins in her hair. I wonder if the gel is so thick that they can use that without having to use bobby pins also?

We had this done in May, and it was only $5 or $6 for the gel/dusting...

My boys did the gel and dusting in July.
The colored gel is very messy/when its hot out. It's thick gel.

We did the clear gel on the top of his head with the dust.
and a green mickey on the back of his head. It was cute.
but the green gel did get all over my coach.ugggg
the kids loved getting this done.

My friends dd had her hair in pony tails they did streks of color and dust

hmm we did not find it messy at all during the day. Where we had a tough time ( and thanks for reminding me of this fan4life) was when it came time to wash it out. It was very hard to pick out all the "pixie dust" mickeys...and the gel dries VERY hard...it did not all come out in one wash...but of course my boys hair was very short and I think that added tot he difficulty, as my DD did not have the same problem.
