Main St. Barbershop change?

I just read on another site that "With the opening of the Magic Kingdom's Bippity Bobbity Botique, the Main Street Barber Shop no longer provides simple hairdos and color for children, unless they're also getting their hair cut"

I had hoped for an up-do and some gel for my kids in August. Can anyone fill me in-- how much is a haircut, do they do just trims, etc?

Actually, school starts 2 weeks after our trip, so a haircut in WDW might be a painless way to kill 2 birds with one stone if it's affordable.

We've been to the Harmony Barbershop 2 times. Both time kids cuts were available for $14.00, which is less than we pay at home. On DS's 1st trip, he also got the gel and pixie dust for that price. It used to be $5.00 for the gel and pixie dust without a cut. The hours are 9-5 daily, but get there early b/c the lines get long!

Thanks. I won't mention it to the kids ahead of time... that way if it doesn't work out they won't miss it.

We walked up at 9:02 in January as we watched the opening and were already 5th in line. people are NOT kidding!!!

Yep $14 is what we paid too for dd's first cut there. Included certificate, first haircut ears, pixie dust(glitter), and he wrapped up a lock with glitter and stickers for scrapbooking later. We went first thing and only about 5 minute wait time.

I hope they don't stop offering the gel, pixie dust and do's I'm thinking of having dd's done next time we go and she can dress like a princess for the day. She love to wear costumes. I like that Main street is right inside and I dunno where the others are at really.

I had my son's hair cut (and glittered) there last Saturday, and there were two little girls that came in and had their hair done (no cut), so if it has changed, it has been since then. If anyone verifies this, please let us know. DS loves do have "sparkly" hair!
