Main reason why I rarely play VMK

I am not happy that VMK decided to let the person who impersonated me return to VMK. I won't name names but I saw them in the game.

This person intentionally used a variation of my name to create problems in VMK and on the DIS. They were angry at me because they chose not to follow the rules here and retaliated. I'm shocked they would let them back and not let a poor innocent kid who makes a mistake by giving out some personal information back.

I'm very disappointed! VMK was VERY aware who they were and what they were doing. I held up my end of the deal, I didn’t release any information about this to the public, I just wish VMK had done the same.

I'm not going to say who it is or where I saw them. I promised VMK I would not mention that here and I am sticking to what I agreed. I am just very disappointed that such a violation of VMK values is being overlooking by VMK.

If this type of thing is allowed, everyone who's name can be cloned by using other letters is at risk.

I too am troubled by this. Have you recontacted VMK about it? If they no longer feel bound by the agreement they made with you, then perhaps it is time that you release your side of the story?

I don't believe it would serve a purpose right now to tell my side and name, names. Hopefully most people know I could never do what this person did under my name. The part that makes me sad is I would have loved to tell my side when this was happening but I told VMK I wouldn't. Some of the posters here were hurt by this and unfortunately, some still believed it was me.

I've always been a supporter of VMK but letting them back in the game, I really don't understand.

That is becoming so common place!! VMK does not care unless somebody is impersonating staff, or wearing -bleep-ing green flips......... They don't care unless it's about them, and it is really getting on my nerves!!

The 'forementioned person' cloned my name and yes, was VERY mean to some of the people here on the DIS. They are still in VMK with their original name, the one they used prior to pulling this. So, obviously they received a slap on the hand and maybe a short ban, but they were allowed to return with their original name.

It's no secret that my VMK name is diskelco. The clone used a variation of the l and i. That name was banned so you shouldn't see it again. There was no way anyone could tell unless they knew me.

If I remember correctly, they were telling people they'd ban them from dis unless they give the impersonator free stuff.

I'm really disturbed to hear this. People who go around impersonating others in VMK with the sole to purpose of hurting that person's reputation and to scam others should never be allowed to come back to the game. Those are not the kind of people that should be influencing the kids playing the game.

Have you contacted VMK and asked them if this person was allowed back in?

I sincerely hope that the person received a permanent ban. But it might have only been an IP ban and the person has since changed it. The need to also ban the character.

I cannot believe it! Oh, alright, yes I can believe vmk pulling a stunt like this. It certainly makes me understand why I also do not play vmk so much.

I think the main thing here is that this is a free online game. *free* never came without strings and now vmk is proving that as they simply seem to not listen when people explain things like this. They have that feedback section for a reason -- how about they start to listen? Oh yeah...they aren't getting paid to listen...or even really care. They are getting paid to provide a Disney operated promotional game for people to discover how great Disney is and bring in some more money.

VMK is free. Some things are just too good to be true.

I know not all the workers for vmk are this way, and I know that some really do care, but it pains me to hear that not 100%.

Kelsie, I remember a while ago, that person entered my room and the way he/she began talking made me, I knew the person couldn't have possibly been you. However, if it makes you feel better, I at least that account is gone. It is however, unfortunate that they let the player back in the game while they ban accounts for 10 years for lesser offenses.

I'm so sorry Kelsie. I know how upsetting that entire situation was.

I would like to say that if any of us ever see someone we know acting in a manner out of character for them, to take a close look and consider the possibility that it is NOT who you think. Unfortunately, many of us have names that could be closely imitated by someone out to cause trouble.

It's one thing to have a title close to another player's, it's another to purposely register a name with the intent to impersonate and cause trouble for someone.

I remember this from earlier, bu cant belive they would let them back. The VMK judgement, has made me wonder lately. I have seen friends banned for no reason, while the one who deserves the ban, just stands and watches. So sorry!
