Wasn't a zero entry pool the last time we used it 3 years ago.The site www.portorleans.or may the info you need or the resort thread here on the Dis about POR. I haven't read a y thing on any sites about a change to zero entry.

Sorry, no zero entry in main pool. Of all the Mods, only CBR has a zero entry. I believe the pool is 3 feet by the stairs and the deepest is 5 feet, majority is around 4 feet.

Are there any height restrictions for the water slide? Our dd is 5 and 44 inches...just making sure to prepare her ahead of time if she is too short (she is currently too short for our local community pool's water slide!).

Our grandson who was 4 and 40" tall last summer enjoyed the water slide at POR. He had a blast! They have life jackets at the pool you can borrow if needed.

Most of the pools won't let someone stand at the end of the slide to catch a little one coming down the slide. So your daughter will need to get past the end of the slide by herself.

We use to stand by the side of the slide and grab our DD just as she entered the water. Also, just to let the OP know, that you cannot slide down with your child, only one at a time.

I can confirm that this is the case. Stayed at POR in February and was told that I couldn't stand near the slide. I had to stand further back and wait for my wee one to swim to me. However there are life preservers so you just kind of wait for them to bob your way.

Fortunately our dd does know how to swim so getting "off" the slide won't be a problem! Just wanted to make sure there were no height restrictions like our local pool
