Main Entrance off Harbor Blvd.

newbie question - i was looking @ a map of DL area last night & noticed an area marked "Main Entrance" off Harbor Blvd. further down (across from Anaheim Plaza from where i had thought the combined entrance area was (across from BWPP?).

is this an alternate entrance to the park?

The main entrance used to be further down Harbor Blvd.

We use to stay at the Saga Inn (now the Ramada Inn) years ago when the miniature golf course was on the corner of Katella and Harbor and the DL's main entrance was right around there.

Maybe you have an old map?

There is a car entrance there....to the timon lot, i think. when we stayed at the anaheim plaza, we would sometimes go over there and catch the tram to DL. (and back)

Not sure which map you are looking at, but there are two entrances to the parks. One is as you noted, off of Harbor across from the BWPPI on the east side of DLR. The other is through DTD on Disneyland Drive on the west side of DLR.

thanks, this one is in the area of Disney way, must be old entrance (too bad not still operational) was marked as such in one of the guidebooks from library ('06 disney with kids?)

When do they open the Timone Lot on an average Saturday? I would like to park there on my last day?

If Timon is open at all it will open 30 minutes before the park opens. I think on an EE day like Saturday that means 30 minutes before EE.

I am not a Timon lot expert, but will never try to park there again. I tried it in 2006 on a day trip. I was the first car in line at the Timon gate at about 7:15AM on a day DL opened at 8AM. The lots are supposed to open 30 minutes early.

So what happens at 7:30AM? A CM comes out to open the gate, I go thru to the kiosks where you pay, I pay my $10, and they give me a parking pass and a map to the M&F lot. They never even said anything, and I did not look at the map until I drove thru and was on Disneyland Drive completely confused. Where was the Timon lot? Did I miss a turn?

Turns out Timon was not even open! So I could have been waiting in the M&F line instead of Timon, and would have gotten parked sooner. They did not block the Timon lot entrance or anything, they just let us in there and wasted our time without any signs or anything.

Bottom line for me is that I will never try Timon again but will always go straight to M&F.

When I was at DL in 2003 the Timon Parking Lot was for those with Handycap Stickers. They had blocked off access on Katella and they directed you there from the harbor blv car entrance.
